X User Who Queried Phyna’s Alleged ₦1 Billion Demand Loses Brother in Dangote Truck Accident

Tragedy has befallen an X user known as Enugu of Lagos, who recently made headlines for questioning Phyna’s alleged ₦1 billion demand from the Dangote Group, following a separate truck-related incident. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

On September 3, 2025, Enugu announced via his X (formerly Twitter) handle that his brother had died in a crash involving a Dangote truck. According to him, the accident claimed three lives.

Sharing a photo from the scene, he wrote:
“Another accident happened this afternoon just beside that Four Corner and claimed the lives of four persons including my brother 😭😭😭😭😭”

This tragic news surfaced shortly after his earlier tweet questioning the compensation demand made by Phyna, whose sister Ruth was struck by a Dangote truck on August 13, 2025, just days after graduating from Auchi Polytechnic. Ruth later passed away on August 31, 2025.

Very sad indeed, I suggest that Federal Government should make a policy that every Truck should move in the Night, let's say from 7pm - 6am irrespective of its takeoff and Destinations.
This will help to curtail the rate of Accident Nationwide.

My friend bought 3 trailers in 2010 or so for 19.5m.

He gave them to a company that would be giving him 600k a month for each, totaling 1.8m a month. That's about $11,000 then, or 16m in today's money.

2 were involved in serious accidents and were immediate writeoffs. The third was sold off at a loss.

Lorry business isn't for the fainthearted.

Karma is a biatch. Let's learn to show empathy to people's predicament. Emotional intelligence is a good asset.

I have said times without number, unless I'm found guilty of capital crimes or offences such as murder, terrorism, aggravated assault, kidnapping, arson and the likes, if you have to correct me about any wrong, you must do so in a gentle or subtle way, else I go fire you back cos why, anything you accuse me of must have been done by you in the past...
Btw, now that his brother has passed, he should go and congratulate Dangote for unaliving his brother by accident and if Dangote give am 1 billion make e no collect..

You are a real solution bringer. Every other person just want litigation against the company.

But I would suggest 10pm - 5am. If the drivers want to speed and kill themselves, so be it.

But Saturdays and Sundays are also risky around those times though because of the late night "faaji" seekers. And we can't deny people a night life. Hmmmm.

But in all, I commend your effort to resolve this issue rather than escalate it. Kudos.

This is what Aliko is not talking about painfully. But they are all insured.

The problem is that the insurance companies might find out that the truck drivers might not be at fault but it would be bad PR to come out and say it.

Another scenario? The engaged driver is not the one driving at the point of the accident. Another? Expired license. All these absolves the insurance companies of their expected interventions.

All in all, the business system that Aliko is running is not effective. I am so sure he would be gearing up to pay a consulting firm in the area of logistics to take over. IGI could even become a partner.

ENUGU ROAD TRAGEDY: TEN LIVES LOST, TEN INJURED AS CP GIWA MOURNS, ORDERS INVESTIGATION

The Enugu State Police Command regrets to inform the public of two separate but tragic fatal road accidents that occurred today, 3rd September 2025, along the Ozalla/4-Corner axis of the dual-carriage Enugu/Port-Harcourt Expressway. The crashes claimed ten lives and left ten others hospitalized.

The first incident, a multiple-vehicle crash, happened at about 9 a.m. on the Enugu inward-bound lane. A Howo truck, inscribed Visco Investment Global and laden with bags of white cement,[/i] was en route Abuja from Aba, Abia State, when it collided with a Toyota Corolla car that was attempting to overtake another truck on the same route. A Foton bus and a Daihatsu Hijet mini bus, both driving one-way, were also caught in the collision. Sadly, the truck head and the Toyota Corolla car went up in flames, with five occupants of the car burning to death. A passenger in the mini bus was equally confirmed dead by the attending medical doctor.

[i]Similarly, at about 3 p.m. on the same road, another fatal crash occurred. This time, it involved a Sino truck belonging to Global Investment and a tricycle. The truck, laden with cement [b][/b]and driving one-way from Garriki Enugu to Nenwe in Aninri LGA, on the same Enugu inward-bound lane, rammed into the tricycle, leading to the death of its four occupants. They were rushed to the hospital but later confirmed dead.

Ten other persons, injured in the separate crashes, are currently receiving medical attention.

The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, psc, while mourning the tragic loss of lives and commiserating with the families of the deceased, has directed the State Motor Traffic Department to carry out a diligent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accidents.

The CP describes the crashes as avoidable and strongly cautioned drivers to exercise utmost care, especially during these Ember Months, when road traffic usually increases and accidents are more frequent. He reminded motorists that no journey is worth the loss of lives, urging them to shun recklessness, obey traffic rules, and prioritize safety over speed to prevent further tragedies.
