LegendHero:Mr. Man. Tinubu did not win the South in 2023, the North made him President because it was the right thing to do at the time. If you really believe that he would now win the South but nothing has changed in the North, then I have nothing to say to you. Come back by 2027 and compare notes. It is this craze for "powerblocs" that is making Tinubu run an elitist government to the detriment of the people. A lot of the APC governors who won their reelection couldn't deliver Tinubu in the presidential election but nonetheless, Northern sentiments were in favour of returning power to the South in 2023. |

LegendHero:Lol. Tinubu is now an immortal because the North came through for him and delivered his ass after he won only 4 states in the entire South and also, the North is no longer one but the Southwest is one. Time is a gentleman. The short meedgeet was also your hero during electioneering in 2023, it is the single most significant reason why the North won't trust you again come 2027. |

When I see comments that Tinubu lost Lagos, I smiled . Tinubu lost Lagos by 10k votes, he doesn't care he if lost the entire SW, as long as he scored the highest votes at the total national count, that his why they call him master . Win some, lose some...... but have highest is the goal. |

AMINDA:Northern sentiment is still in favor of returning power to the South in 2027. Forget Atiku boys noise, they don’t wield much influence among Northern power brokers. If you are a genuine politician, compared the mood of 2013 to 2025. In 2013, almost all Northern power bloc and sentiment favor power returning to the North and Jonathan at that point statistically stood no chance. In 2025, even with the call for coalition, no major bloc within each 19 Northern states ally with Atiku, how then do you claim the sentiment of the North favor power returning in 2027? That same North will return Tinubu in 2027. Go and write it down. |

AMINDA:Of the total votes, BAT scored 30%, the least ever scored by a candidate to win the Presidency. That signified that he was not widely accepted by the citizens. His policies and actions have driven Nigerians far into misery, poverty and hardship. How does he expect to win in 2027 with the widespread national lamentation? By the way, when they talk about the north, they deceive themselves. Those from the BW and NE always say "the north" for political convenience, as if they all agree as one. The NC is forcefully co-opted into their "north", whereas the NC votes differently. Only PDP repeatedly won across the northern states, while they lasted. They did not have to force the hands of governors, as we presently experience nationwide. Look at what is happening in the SS, where the likes of Eno, Fubara and Sheriff appear like they are forced to belong to APC. All the opposition needs once again is a strong candidate and cooperation and they will be the end of the road for APC in 2027. |

AMINDA:El-Rufai was never our hero. How many states did he went with Tinubu to campaign? Did El-Rufai ever told you he put boot on ground and deploy Kaduna state fund for Tinubu election? Again you’re fixating on state win while we are focusing on Numbers. Tinubu won NW, NC, SW on vote margin in 2023 and came second on votes in the rest of SS and NE. Today, nearly all SS governors are with him and my prediction is that he will win that region because they will position for VP slot in 2031. Atiku cannot even get 25% in 24 states, so how exactly does he think he will become president? |
| Re: Tinubu ‘Smiling’ As Northern Politicians Fight Themselves — Abdulmumin Jibrin by AMINDA: 6:43am On Sep 04, 2025 |
LegendHero:Elrufai was never your hero? This right here is the bane of the average Southwesterner. You are now seeking to rewrite history. If it happens as you have said above come 2027, you would come back to say that Tinubu made himself President without the support of all these regions and persons you're touting above. But we will never know because it won't happen. I only have one advise for you, being obsessed with forcefully co-opting governors into your party and relying on them to deliver Tinubu without any regard to the sentiments of their people will only end bitterly. Kust don't come back to say the governors betrayed you. |

Cantonese:BAT scored 30% because it is a 3 horse race. That was exactly why Shagari scored the lowest vote too to become president in 1979 because Awo, Zik, and Shagari contested. If it was a 2-horse race, it’ll be different. Most of you argue politics like kids. By the way, when they talk about the north, The deceive themselves. Those from the BW and NE always say the "north" for political convenience, as if they all agree as one. All the opposition needs once again is a strong candidate and cooperation and they will be the end of the road for APC in 2027.In 2023, BAT won the NC votes even with a Muslim-muslim ticket and most NC leaders against him. Today almost all Northern Christians leader of thought are with Tinubu. So how do you think Tinubu will lose NC in 2027? The younger Northern politicians like Kwakwanso, Ribadu, Ganduje, and etc also want to taste the presidency themselves and they got no Northern loyalty to Atiku. Hear this, Atiku does not command any cult following in the North. All the votes he got throughout his career are PDP legacy votes. Without PDP, Atiku is just like any younger politician. See Edo last bye-election, do you see what APC pull in that senatorial district? So you’re saying BAT won’t pull at least 40% in Edo in 2027? Why did Tinubu won Rivers in 2023, is it not because of Wike the governor. Now that all SS governors are with him, are you saying he won’t get more votes in the SS than he got in 2023? |
| Re: Tinubu ‘Smiling’ As Northern Politicians Fight Themselves — Abdulmumin Jibrin by LegendHero(m): 6:47am On Sep 04, 2025 |
AMINDA:We know how to win votes in the North. When it’s time, we know what to do to get the votes. You guys said more than this in 2023, Atiku still got battered in the NW and NC. You Atiku boys don’t own the North, your principal got no cult following. See his votes in Kano in 2023, is that not a thing of shame that he can’t pull at least 25% all by himself? What will change in 2027? Will he suddenly amass 50% more than he got? What is the chance of him getting 25% in 5 southern states in 2027? What is his path to fulfilling the constitutional requirement of 25% in 24 states? |

Is he supposed to be crying or sad? Strategically, he would find a way to fuel that discontent amongst the opposition. Politics is a Zero-sum game in case you guys have forgotten. If you are serious go and put your house in order. |

LegendHero:You miscalculated. National elections are not like LG elections, where governors do whatever they like and get away with it. In 2023, it was safely assumed that Lagos was in the bag for Tinubu, seeing that it was his territory and his to lose. He was defeated. It was assumed that Abuja was a PDP territory, or in the worst case, APC would win. They were both beaten by LP. What played out was the feeling of the citizens. They were frustrated and used their voters cards to express their feelings. It was a last minute salvation for PDP in Delta state, for example, otherwise Sheriff would not be there today. Do not forget that APC was on the Cliff's edge after the Presidential election, as it was taken for granted that Sanwo Olu was on his way out. If not for threats and thugs, Sanwo Olu was a goner. The so called "common man" is angry that he has nothing to eat and give his family. He cannot pay his bills and everyday things get harder. Next January, taxation will take off. That may further frustrate the common man. The results of the frustrations would be seen on election day. It's not about North or South, but about the citizens, who would be standing at the polling booths to vote for who they want. Wike employed 200k SAs on the eve of the elections to secure votes and yet Rivers state had the lowest figure in a Presidential election since 1999. Last Saturday's LG elections videos circulating showed party men thumb printing ballot papers. Is that a sign of how APC expects to win in 2027? |

The great array of people who coalesced against Emilokan are the same people who did nothing to change Nigeria's situation for the good 8years but only agitated because of being sidelined or excluded from his government. For example El-Rufai.The only genuine oppositions is Obi. |

AMINDA:very true.. the north only supported Tinubu because it’s the right to do. And also an appreciation for helping Buhari becoming a president. North were even divided in the last election between mostly Buhari boys that didn’t want him president and other core norths that thought is the right thing to do to hand over to Tinubu than Atiku |

My greatest worries is INEC. Cause i know APC is not to fear for. They did nothing and shouldn't expect much votes from Nigerians. INEC jeopardise 2023 elections and they intend doing the same come 2027. Our focus should how to fix INEC. Not Tinubu. |

Cantonese:Nigeria election is the same. The only reason some governors fail to wield influence in last election is because they had no federal backing. Buhari boys made sure that is so. Wike was only able to pull his through because he is more rugged. This time around, Tinubu will be conducting his own reelection. Many things worked against Asiwaju in 2023. Endsars, Muslim-Muslim, naira redesign, fuel scarcity and most of all, he lost federal backing. Those things won’t repeat themselves anymore because now he is the president and he won’t sabotage his own party on the eve of election. Also, it caught people unaware especially in Lagos and that was why they rectified everything back during Sanwoolu governorship election. This time around, proper planning will be in place. Even if they go and conduct the election in Nicaragua, Tinubu will win 2027. The signs are already there. |

LegendHero:they will rather give it to Jonathan if he contest or Obi. the north only supported Tinubu in the last election because it’s the right to do. And also an appreciation for helping Buhari becoming a president. North were even divided in the last election between mostly Buhari boys that didn’t want him president and other core norths that thought is the right thing to do to hand over to Tinubu than supporting Atiku. Now you re claiming west is united and north is divided🤣🤣. If they decide to rely behind Obi or Jonathan, Tinubu is a goner. It’s a known fact the north and Wike made him president |

Sheuns:Because SW and NW only started allying in 2015 as a power bloc. Since 1960 up till 2015, SW bloc have always been in opposition to the Northern bloc. In 2003, SW briefly ally with the rest of the country in re-electing Obasanjo. |

LegendHero:and remove the south south from your mouth. Tinubu only has rivers state. That is even if Fubara wouldn’t fight back before then. If Tinubu knows he has other SS states why then didn’t he do the abracadabra with those online registration by raising his gotten SS states. He only raised the numbers in SW that’s he is sure he will rig in his favor |
| Re: Tinubu ‘Smiling’ As Northern Politicians Fight Themselves — Abdulmumin Jibrin by LegendHero(m): 7:21am On Sep 04, 2025 |
blackgold2018:Which state are you from in the SS? Tinubu got 800k votes in the SS in 2023 even with Muslim-muslim and odds stacked against him. Now that almost all governors in the South South are with him, how do you think he won’t get more than 800k in 2027? Lot of you no sabi politics. If your claim is that he rigged those 800k in South South, then what will stop him from rigging more since he is now the president and control both INEC and the police?

LegendHero:well you spoke intelligently, unlike your fellow Tinubu supporter brothers. Deep down all Nigerians heart, we all know Tinubu chances of winning is 70% on rigging. It’s just the opposition we are waiting for to well organize themselves as our last hope. If only they all will rally behind Jonathan or obi. Atleast a little hope will be assured. Atiku should step down for now, because what played down last election will still happen. It’s the south’s turn |

Northern politicians are a nuisance to our political space, they should save the north before thinking of ruling Nigeria. A place where girls are mobbed, where almajiris are more than decent children, where terrorists are celebrated, Atiku and the rest from the north are shameless. |
