You miscalculated. National elections are not like LG elections, where governors do whatever they like and get away with it.

In 2023, it was safely assumed that Lagos was in the bag for Tinubu, seeing that it was his territory and his to lose. He was defeated. It was assumed that Abuja was a PDP territory, or in the worst case, APC would win. They were both beaten by LP. What played out was the feeling of the citizens. They were frustrated and used their voters cards to express their feelings.

It was a last minute salvation for PDP in Delta state, for example, otherwise Sheriff would not be there today. Do not forget that APC was on the Cliff's edge after the Presidential election, as it was taken for granted that Sanwo Olu was on his way out. If not for threats and thugs, Sanwo Olu was a goner.

The so called "common man" is angry that he has nothing to eat and give his family. He cannot pay his bills and everyday things get harder. Next January, taxation will take off. Many things worked against Asiwaju in 2023. Endsars, Muslim-Muslim, naira redesign, fuel scarcity and most of all, he lost federal backing.

Also, it caught people unaware especially in Lagos and that was why they rectified everything back during Sanwoolu governorship election. This time around, proper planning will be in place.
