State policing is only reelection campaign.. The Nigeria states are not yet mature to operate State policing.. Regional policing is still fair |

The average Nigerian politician is power drunk and they careless about insecurities ravaging the whole country their main focus is 2027 elections, the police and army can't confront bandits in the bush because they have been demoralized and mostly used as sacrificial lambs. When someone was telling you that Nigeria would soon be worse than Somalia no kind of insult wey una no hurled out on the person now that same thing are happening right before ur eyes and the people seems helpless with the government doing nothing to salvage the insecurities bedeviling the country. What about the Amotekun? Imagine seeking permission from the police before engaging bandits in the Bush..effort in futility. |

Toothless bulls called Afenifere and the northern leaders. Even another toothless bull called Igbo leaders. Yeye people. If Tinubu had not expressed his desire to set it up, would they have started "gingering" again? Very inconsistent old people. Next news joor! |

helinues:Regional police is ok, so that one governor will not use them for his evil.... The problem of Nigeria is state governors given them state police is more problem |

helinues:On a second thought you kukuma look right. You see state govs, they account for a lot of things. If a bad gov decides to misuse state police, the oppositions go suffer taya. Citizens of that state too wey say pimmm go collect. Regional govt sef suppose join state police. Let's go back to parliamentary system of govt with a single 5 years term. But breakup is imminent if things refuse to change for better. |

IamANigerianMan:That one would be more chaotic, remember funding, recruitment, diversity hmmm. The concept sounds good but making it work is a different thing all together. I pity Nigerians when they are done with this state police thing. It will become another cesspit of corruption and thuggery, leaving behind the core purpose for the establishment. |

Tinubu the other day was talking about State police. All they know how to do is to just talk. |

How many police will then be in the North? Let them do away with Hisbah first. They obviously aren't helping. |

epainos:The tribal leaders are not just toothless bulls, they are also insincere people. If they are sincere, then why have they not mobilised their senior and junior federal lawmakers to include state police in the five amendments to the 1999 Constitution that has already passed? Why are they not engaging with their senators and representatives to include it in the ongoing 6th Amendment to the 1999 constitution? fergie001: |

No, make una no adopt. A fool does at last what he would've done earlier. Just see how they'll handle it and make a mess of it just because the danger is at the door. Let's know that any good we do or fail to do because of selfishness will still locate us. |

The Sad Yeast will not say anything now... Especially when the issue is hot.. When the matter has been drowned with issues and happenings, that when you will hear their elders coming out to seek the same thing other tribes have sought for and probably won or lost. |

They are the one delaying themselves lazy governors, always waiting to be fed. Start your state police who hold you, Tinubu have given the green light. |

State police is a good idea but can all these state governors and wicked politician handle it without weaponizibg it against their perceived enemy? We can not be looking for solution and create another bigger problem as Nigerians make the mistake of looking for Gej alternative and landed us in Buhari apc hand and everything turned deadly beyond repair and control. I'm not in support of state police its not yet time for it. |

State police has its own advantages and several disadvantages |
| Re: Afenifere, Northern Leaders Demand State Police Amid Delays by Eriokanmi: 8:16am On Sep 05, 2025 |
Long overdue. But it's easier said than done. They're all after winning tge 2027 elections at the expense of the masses who are the voters, whose life have been made vulnerable to attacks. Instead of implementing it, they'd rather suspended it and use the start off funds for elections. These people dont like the masses. Wake up! |
| Re: Afenifere, Northern Leaders Demand State Police Amid Delays by Eriokanmi: 8:20am On Sep 05, 2025 |
TOPCRUISE:Yes but the advantages far outweigh it's disadvantages. Amotekun is a case study. Despite the noise made back then, how many times have they fought or been used to fight opposition? How many times have governors sent them to harass the opponents? Don't they bear arms too? The federal police are worse. In my presence in lagos, they've snatched ballot boxes, intimidated voters, been used several times by politicians nationwide to harass their enemies. With the State police, you'd know everyone in your domain and if an officer misbehaves, you know where he's coming from, who sent him and his family and you can call him to order. |

Why the delay? Is Tinumbu waiting for a lot more people to be killed before doing the needful? |

After a spell has been cast on Nigeria due to absence of True Federalism in Nigeria. |
| Re: Afenifere, Northern Leaders Demand State Police Amid Delays by amaridigital(m): 9:22am On Sep 05, 2025 |
IamANigerianMan:This analysis is not quite correct because under a regional police the State Governors in each region will still control the police in their respective states just like Amotekun so what's the difference? |
| Re: Afenifere, Northern Leaders Demand State Police Amid Delays by Dalohad: 9:23am On Sep 05, 2025 |
If you create State police. The federal police should leave the roads and those business centers they call checkpoints. |
| Re: Afenifere, Northern Leaders Demand State Police Amid Delays by Nchenches: 9:23am On Sep 05, 2025 |
Franking:That's Tinubu the man who campaigned all over the Southwest region calling for political restructuring of Nigeria to True federalism. |
