But all three speak very basic English, not conversational enough for diplomatic meetings. So, today they were with their interpreters as Putin spoke Russian, Modi spoke Hindi and Xi spoke Mandarin.

BRICS has to bring the positive results of this alliance to market first. Until then it's just posturing. Each country will go at the back to negotiate better terms for themselves later, to score needed political points at home. It's just time wasting politics and was a good opportunity to grab that hardened Putin who smiles and eats caviar while thousands die daily under his command.
