Stop Using Our Logo Without Permission – Dangote Warns Truck Drivers by alphonsojaybaz(op): 5:15am On Sep 06, 2025
Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) has issued a strong warning to truck drivers and transport operators against the unauthorized use of its logo on vehicles not affiliated with the company. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to the management, despite repeated warnings in the past, some independent truckers still brand their vehicles with the Dangote logo without approval. The company noted that this unlawful practice not only causes reputational damage but also misleads the public, especially when such trucks are involved in accidents or criminal activities mistakenly linked to Dangote.

In a recent statement, the company said:

“We have repeatedly cautioned truckers to refrain from using our logo on unauthorized vehicles. Moving forward, we will increase vigilance and take decisive legal action against misuse of our brand identity, particularly concerning vehicles unaffiliated with the Dangote Group.”

Crackdown on Fake Dangote Trucks

Dangote further revealed that it will intensify monitoring in partnership with law enforcement agencies to curb the trend. Offenders risk facing legal prosecution for brand identity misuse and misrepresentation.

The company also urged members of the public and the media to verify facts before circulating reports linking road incidents to Dangote trucks, as many of the vehicles involved are not part of its official fleet.
Dangote’s Trucking Operations in Nigeria

Dangote Group operates one of the largest commercial fleets in Africa, with over 12,000 trucks in Nigeria. This includes more than 3,000 vehicles managed by third-party contractors. On a daily basis, over 6,000 trucks are deployed to support the company’s logistics network, which directly and indirectly sustains over 36,000 jobs nationwide.

This renewed warning sends a clear signal that Dangote Industries is determined to protect its brand image and will no longer tolerate unauthorized use of its identity.

Dangote step up seriousness in the protection of lives and properties.

Your name is a brand but if it is eroded by the continuous killings through accidents, you can't recover.

You think Nigerians are foolish people that can be easily deceived.Instead of doing the right things you resort to telling big and fat lies. The trucks are YOURS and your LAWYERS should teach you better LIES.NO richest man in Africa unless things are done right. More trucks from you, more cries ,more woes, more bad stories. Better to address issues in a positive way you are out with a childish, immature ,illogical lie.

Can you proove this in a competent court.

Most companies dont rebrand after acquiring assets this i am very sure of.

I work in the field and i know this because i see a lot of indigenous companies buying cars and equipment and leaving it as the bought it to evade taskforce , police checkpoints and others, so if u are not sure of what u are saying dont be too loud about it.

Now that’s the sweetness of engaging a very expensive PR company. They can cover your wrong PR in any way possible.

It’s just like engaging that expensive city lawyer. He can make a case of kpa’ing look like “I only touch him and he started crying.”😅

Defence mechanism by Dangote's! The wealthy class would always be protected at all cost, while the proliterates and talakawas would never get justice! The type of Dangote's are always tagged/called the comprador bougeoise.

I don't believe this news. Seems like damage control. Are you telling me the people buy the exact make of your sino trucks, paint the same colour as yours and also carry cements also?
Doesn't seem to hold enough water
Re: Stop Using Our Logo Without Permission – Dangote Warns Truck Drivers by nwirinedu(m): 8:45am On Sep 06, 2025
How can people carry their logo and fix on their trucks? How many companies can afford brand new chino trucks in Nigeria?
Something is not adding up.
No one can just add Dangote logo on their trucks .

It is not true. Dangote is only engaging in damage control. His trucks have been in the news lately for killing people.
