If you even consider that Ejoor had been targeted for elimination by the ibo coup plotters on January 15 and Ironsi had been plotting to have him murdered afterwards with Ojukwu having plotted on 3 occasions to have Ejoor killed , first in Enugu then in Abia while attending Ironsi's funeral and in Benin , Ejoor still went on to prevent northern troops from invading Biafra through the Midwest and did everything to protect ibo refugees passing through his region.

To show the level of hate and disdain ojukwu and his Enugu lunatics had on non ibo Midwesterners, a decree was passed by Ojukwu having all non ibo Midwesterners leave the Eastern region.


Ejoor did not reciprocate the gesture by Enugu and no ibo was asked to vacate the Midwest after Ojukwu's expulsion order.

Note that Ojukwu',s expulsion order only applied to non Ibo Midwesterners. Igboid Midwesterners were exempt from Ojukwu's expulsion order


Fast forward a few months and Ojukwu decided to invade the Midwest in the guise of liberating her from Nigeria .

Ojukwu's ragtag army did not waste time targeting non ibo people of the Midwest during the occupation. Same people he had ordered out of the East , he (Ojukwu) invaded their land and was now harassing , terrorising and killing them on their fathers land while elevating his ibo cousins as vassal rulers of the Midwest

Officers and men of the Army had all returned to their regions and no civilian was compelled to leave their region outside the north following the pogroms but still at that, there was no official proclamation by northern, western and Midwestern governments asking civilians to return to their regions.

And why are you refusing to acknowledge the author's statement of fact the Ojukwu expelled non ibo Midwesterners?

Why did ojukwu limit his expulsion to non ibo Midwesterners especially students who were reported by their fellow ibo students for not being enthusiastic in having their region occupied by Biafra?

I kindly recommend the OP to go and read the book " YOU MUST BREAK FORTH AT DAWN" written by Wole Soyinka. There the author highlighted that the Igbo Nation have been badly treated. They will understand the genesis of what metamorphosed into the Civil War.
