⚡Russia launched a major drone and missile strike on Kyiv, causing a fire at Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers building.

About 1,000 drones attacked Ukraine overnight, which may be a record.

Does Venezuela have enough soldiers to cover such large area?

I fear for Maduro, he doesn't strike me like a serious person.

1000 drones, that's obviously a record since the beginning of the SMO.

No one can give Maduro what has been given to Zelensky.

You'd need to ship him AD batteries on a weekly basis because the US is an air-centric fighting force.

Maybe they have an ingenious plan they'd spring as a surprise.
But it'll be a surprise to both their critics and cheerleaders.

All the good plans I can think of involve going underground and insurgency.
Neither of which sounds unpalatable to the Americans.
Colombia has had the FARC insurgency. Life goes on.
Maduro or any successor going underground and being replaced by a US stooge at least on the internationally-recognized circuit, even if they don't control most of the country, is good enough.
All they really need are the oil fields as in Syria.

I don't think Maduro is unserious per se.
He could have done more on the economic front.
Invite Chinese economists to craft a socialist-capitalist economic plan.
Even then, that type of plan only worked in China and Vietnam because they were not under steep sanctions.
Without kudi, all plans are visions at best.

It's just hard to pass verdicts on leaders dealing with biting sanctions.
Nigeria is not under heavy sanctions, look how messy it is.
Under the circumstances, Chavez and Maduro have navigated a troubling situation quite competently.
Unless Russia and China gave them firm security guarantees, it was always going to be difficult to hold back the Americans if they decided to go kinetic.

Syria has emboldened the Americans after the Afghanistan facepalm.
Decapitate the Venezuelan leadership, install a stooge, seize the oil fields, maybe even sponsor one or a few of the many armed insurgent groups that'll emerge to keep the stooge honest. All done and with minimal American loss of life.

They can take the fight to American cities using the cartels, Iranian & Ukrainain kamikaze drones and long range missiles.

Or hit every oil field the US siezes and US refineries back home. Make life extremely difficult for the Americans.

They should learn from Ukraine and use Sea Drones to hit US ships.

Would that really be effective?

Has Ukraine attacking Russian cities weakened Russia's resolve?
It's very dangerous to assume that attacking the US hinterland will effect decision-making in a way you like.

The cartels have extended their influence over vast swathes of the Southern US without kinetic action.
Maduro is not that big enough of a patron to cause a sea change in approach.
I doubt even Iran has that pull.
Only an invasion of Mexico could theoretically lead to asymmetric attacks. That's the cartels' Hail Mary card.

One of the very few likely potential surprises is domestic production of Iranian missiles and drones.
If they have that, then they have something to punch back with.
Still, I fancy the Houthis over the Venezuelans.
We have no idea how Venezuelans fight.
We have no idea how well US dollars have corrupted power brokers within Venezuela.
$10m + US citizenship for the entire family is enough to get the coordinates of every Iran factory in the country.

In fact, this is one of the two primary reasons why I do not fancy Maduro's chances.
A heavily-sanctioned country without religious fervor. It's the perfect environment for spooks to recruit CIs.
They're only putting up $50m as bounty for the President of the country with the largest oil reserves.
It means they're buying valuable strategic information with way less.

But yea, if you do assume that somehow Maduro has the till-death loyalty of every important rung of the Venezuelan sociopolitical and security ladder, then yes with indigenous drone and missile production, they could make life difficult for the Americans.
Anti-ship missiles and drones targeting airfields in Puerto Rico and acceptance of widespread destruction of Caracas and important cities could lead to a Houthi-like stalemate.
Keyword is could.

At the Pentagon, talks are being led by Air Force Gen. Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, with a broader discussion also centered on deterrence, training and defense industrial cooperation. On the latter front, the United States is discussing with Ukraine a deal that could be worth around $100 billion, under which Kyiv would be able to buy American weapons, while in exchange the United States would get intellectual property rights for the cutting-edge systems the Ukrainians have been developing, according to a U.S. official.

Trump is trying to justify his actions to MAGA fans when he sends money to Ukraine, that’s why they’re getting cutting edge systems like the picture below. He called Zelensky the greatest salesman and criticised Biden for sending money to Ukraine while Americans are suffering. People in his government said they need to audit funds sent to Ukraine but this dude decided to join the money laundering scheme. Most of the funds won’t leave the USA and a lot will be recycled through various means. Once money is sent to Ukraine watch out for USA officials going to Kyiv because they are going to get their cut and return with briefcases full of cash. USA and Ukraine politicians are happy, Ukrainians without connections keep dying in the battlefield and the earth keeps spinning.

At least 2 refineries are ignited every single week. These are the refineries with some of the largest refining capacities in Russia oo. They will come and tell us that the refineries are not worth being defended with the so called best air defence system in the world. Their air defence system is so limited right now that the few ones are dedicated to protect Pootin alone.

These Airheads no longer celebrate Ukraine winning anymore. Maybe because there's none.

They went from celebrating non existent generals being killed daily to celebrating drone strikes on defenseless refineries lmaoo.

Yesterday Ukraine fired dozens of their so called game changing Flamingo and neptune missiles towards Crimea and Crimean Bridge.

Well guess what happened to those missiles lol?

Knowing Russia, they're probably already working on a permanent solution to these drone strikes. Leaving these dumbos with nothing to celebrate.

They might start celebrating Zelensky being alive and then Russia fixes that too.
😁 😁

⚡China is investing $1B to reactivate Venezuela’s oil production, installing a massive floating platform in Lake Maracaibo to bring dormant wells back online and ramp output to 60,000 bpd by 2026.

It’s long-term infrastructure, under a 20-year production-sharing deal, aimed at export growth and energy sovereignty.

The U.S., meanwhile, is parking warships, F-35s, and nuclear subs in the Caribbean under the pretext of “counter-narcotics,” escalating toward strikes on Venezuelan soil.

Where China builds platforms and pipelines, Washington positions carrier groups and missile batteries.

One offers Venezuela capital, tech, and market access. The other offers blockades, sanctions, and threats of regime change.
