I was waiting to see the Governors of Bhutan and others waving on official visits, infact one of those was at Andrews Air Force Base on Obama's last trip 2 days before he handed over. One of those was also Bush as President visiting the air wing, I didn't see any of their Governors leaving their States to go wave.

As in ehn, this comparison is so wack, coming from Naptu of all people, haba na.

Why is it that whenever we see something awful in our country some people will start looking for other countries with same act,
But will never look for there Good roads to post,Steady light to post ,price control,Good hospitals,No we wont ,we start looking for there Bads to justify for Being stupid.

When will Canada president or US or france president come to Nigeria to get Treatment if ill.Lolz,I just dey laugh our foolishness in this Country

We know it's normal , it happens. Why is different in Nigeria is that Nigerians are angry with the situation in the land, hunger dey, things are not going according to plan. So any opportunity they have they will pour their frustrations at the government. Simply put, our government no dey give us joy

If you look closely at the pictures you attached, the people were waving at the aircraft when it was about to take off but you are defending dumb folks who were still waving at a plane high up above them.

When you get there, tell people not to wave at you. It is as simple as that.

You should have shown where governors are waving at a president's aircraft while he leaves his country for a foreign country.
I know you have been instructed to counter criticism so as to earn your stipend but you should at least use your head to know when responding will sound dumb.

They want to change it, they should go and change it. It's a free world. I don't know how people will just devote their lives to senseless rants.

They should start campaigning, win presidency and then change it. But you won't sit down in your house and tell people who have earned something how to use it. It makes no sense. The president they are waving at isn't complaining, the governors are not complaining, the people in the governors' states are not complaining, so what's your own?

You are only wasting your time educating someone that will never learn anything good in life whether he has traveled out or not, they remain the same.

They are completely brainwashed and still suffering the effects of what they are all defending.

Many of them are already used to suffering hence they don't even know what you're talking about.

Many Nigerian governors had a lot of engagements in Abuja at the end of August and beginning of September. The Nigerian Governors Forum met and the Progressive Governors Forum also had a meeting and then they paid condolence visits to the APC chairman whose mother died recently and the Kogi State governor whose father died recently (they visited the Kogi State governor at the Governor's Lodge in Abuja). North-East governors met with the president on September 3rd, Governor Sanwo-Olu attended the Gitex technology summit and the Niger State governor visited the FIRS chairman in Abuja.

The Niger State governor also attended a meeting of the Buhari Organisation and former CPC members.

Since the governors were in Abuja and on their way back to their states, they said farewell to the president (who was travelling abroad) at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport.

A very funny narrative then went viral. Some people claimed that the governors left their states and flew to Abuja just to wave goodbye to the president. The statement that I found very funny and which is the subject of this thread, is that some people said that the governors were bush and unexposed because they waved to a "closed" aircraft.

I have been watching these things for almost 50 years and I have seen very many people wave at what some people called "closed aircraft". In fact, it was once very common. Civilians wave at the aircraft and military personnel in uniform salute.

There's nothing wrong with it, why? Because aircraft have something called window seats and the people inside the aircraft can see what's happening outside.

In fact, this is part of the United States' inauguration tradition. The new president and vice president and their spouses escort the former president and his wife to the back of the Capitol where Executive One is waiting (it is not called Marine One because the sitting president is not using it).

The new president, vice president, first lady and second lady stand on the steps of the Capitol and wave at the helicopter as it takes the former president and former first lady to the airport from where they will fly home.
