Hello guys, intended newbie alert kind advice is needed, please I need to setup a bi's, 8-5 is not enough for home upkeep as I earn barely 150k monthly.... I have a total of 2.5m n am thinking of getting into the e-hailing tp bi's pls guys can this dream come true
1. Can I gey a car within my available funds, that can work for uber?
2. Is it a good venture that can return my invested fund in a space of 18months?
I have a family of 4 to cater to n cannot keep wasting my 24hrs as the responsibilities are piling
.please urgent help needed....

Hello bro. Some questions...Pls are you in Lagos? Can u drive manual cars? Cause with ur budget I'm guessing you will be looking at manual cars. D main hurdle is getting a good car that can serve after wish u can kiss that misery 150k job and properly take care of urself and wonderful family.

Yes manual is not d best as per stress. If u increase ur budget a bit u sud target a very good Honda Civic 03 -05

With that car you will get ur money back in 6 months

Not so much like additional 300k. Omoapena said u can get one for 2.5m. just be careful and check for rust amongst other things But if u get a good 03-05 Civic u will be a star boy

U will never be accurate but enough for u not to lose and be fast cause of other drivers analysing dmar request. Im telling u Iz possible n u thinking I'm measuring dick with u. Iz all good broski. Or u increase your budget and get better cars like Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Hyundai etc

Keep extra 500k as emergency funds to put the car in good shape. This is irrespective of the amount u buy d car with.

Whether u can recover your investment in 18 months is a function of how much time u can put in d work and the condition of your car. Full time hardworking drivers in Lagos make profit of minimum 30k daily on weekdays and 50k daily on weekends.

Don't you think you're being extreme with your analysis.

How do you expect someone to start working by 7am and close by 10pm? That's overstretching yourself.

Nobody can do that consistently. Because if you close by 10pm, before you would get home, eat, bath, and sleep, it should be around 12am.

And you'll wake up by 5am again to prepare and go out by 7am. This is not a good practice and almost unrealistic.

Let's be sincere, the effort we put in this work is no longer measuring up with the reward. All this 40k, 50k net analysis is to give hope to people that something is still left of the business.

To me, 30k for a 1.8 litre engine is more practical to be earned consistently.

Rightly said, 5 secs is more than enough for veterans to decide once they sight good trips, some trips, immediately they flash on your screen and you see details (amount & destination) under 3secs, if you don't react, you will loose that good trip to someone else, while some trips requires more than 5secs to decide, these are trips that requires you to look at the possibility of getting good trips at the destination if you take it for that fair price while some will come with good price, but the destination is a red zone where you might need to blow empty to better area for another good trip or wait a very long hour before getting trip out of that area.


To any newbie, just be opened to learn how the app works, with time, you will become veteran too.

Ok bro so I'm on lagos and I want to do part time weekdays n full time weekends till I maybe quit my 8-5.... thanks so much for the above insights, but kindly indulge me further how long on a week day would I need to be on the road to get upto 30k do I need to do upto 10trips or more?

Two good trips can give you 30k. So the amount of trip you make doesn't determine how much you earn.

For the car, go for Honda Civic, Ford focus, Kia Rio or Hyundai accent if you can drive manual, better. For the Benz you can go for c200, c180 or c230.

I have decided to go for a lesser car that will return investment quicker. I don’t know if less than 2010 cars can be converted to CNG.

Any car can be converted to cng as long as the engine is sound. I have seen several Keke running on cng in nassarawa state

Everybody has what works for them, so i believe by the time you start the hustle you will know what is suitable for you.

I used to to work like that before 8am to 12pm, then 4pm to 8 or 9pm. But now, i start by 8 or 9am and by 7pm i am done.

When you grasp the hustle wella, i will advise you try and set a daily target both on weekdays and weekends. That will ginger you more.
