Sorry, your appreciation of the tactical aspects of football is terribly surface-level.

Arokodare created that goal by receiving the ball with his back to goal but dominating the CB and gaining yards into the box. He then laid it off to Onyemaechi with a clever flick. Then made a clever run to get on the end of the return ball from Onyemaechi. With or without the goal, this is elite CF play. And I haven't noticed it just from this game. Go and check the role he played in Osimhen's goal in the last game.

Exactly what I said to myself. With the way we play, there is nothing reasonable we have to offer on the world stage. At least the South Africans might entertain even if they will still go home in the first round.

What I noticed about the Nigerian team, they don't put in zeal to be at the top because 1=African football is shitty.
2= if they play trash nobody is going to question them, so why will they put their best.
But when it comes to premier League/other white man league, you see a Nigerian putting 10m zeal in what he does, you see him play like a pro of old, you see him bang goals and assist or defend the ball with his life and his own balls. I was actually impressed by the standard of game yesterday by both countries. I haven't watch Super Eagles in a long time cus African football is generally boring but yesterday's match was interesting. Rwandan is a good team and SE did well to defend their only goal.
