What is Bayelsa doing in the second position of poorest? This is a case of a state that depicts what Nigeria is; a country blessed with enormous resources yet full of poor people.

I don't understand what this means.

The figures seem to high.

I doubt figures in Niger Republ8c or Burundi are even these bad.

Re: Multi-dimensional Poverty Across States (see Full List) by Savenigeria2023: 9:56am On Sep 08, 2025
Nigerians are poor people Kapish.

70k minimum wage per month is only 45USD for the employed and many states are yet to meet that

The rest are unemployed and available for crime. Dead End

Hmm it's everywhere no need for statistics some people in the north are even seeing cheaper foods and most of them are farmers if not for bandits kidnapping and bad roads trust me majority of the citizens can cope well it's just the above and some other things that's contributed to hunger and poverty in some states.

Re: Multi-dimensional Poverty Across States (see Full List) by Freebills12: 9:58am On Sep 08, 2025
It's a thing of surprise that a state like Bayelsa with her rich mineral resources will be poor. What is Gov Diri doing with all the money they generate, from 13% derivative from oil and FAAC? Rivers and Delta too?
Nigeria as a country is rich, each state has one or more natural resources. What are political class doing with them?
Re: Multi-dimensional Poverty Across States (see Full List) by Seefinish: 9:59am On Sep 08, 2025
So Oyo state has more poor people than Anambra? Na statistics we go chop?

This is very bad....Governors are the biggest problem of Nigeria since return to democracy in 1999.For me, all states from 50% upward according to this statistics are very poor states. In conclusion, with this info from NMPI, there's no point arguing whether Nigeria is a poor country or not. Poverty and Nigeria are 5 and 6..."Na statistics we go chop" man is working.

In summary, Nigerians are impoverished and there seems to be no hope in sight except in God. Our political leaders have failed us greatly.
Re: Multi-dimensional Poverty Across States (see Full List) by madridguy(m): 10:00am On Sep 08, 2025
Our governors are the major threat we are facing. Tell me how on earth will Bayelsa with their fat allocation, low population will be second on the list...

People in bayelsa need to start questioning their governors. The state practically makes money more than 60% of all states outside the south south and with small population, they still show up on almost every negative indices? Something is wrong somewhere

2022? We are in 2025!!!
2022? We are in 2025!!!

2022? We are in 2025!!!

Why una push this outdated info to frontpage?

Considering that Tinubu has devalued naira and reduced purchasing power, that of 2025 should be worse.
