Yes and no. As stated Ali baba was a tenant of the former owners before Amcon took over the property, he must have known of the takeover and the issues surrounding the takeover, his lawyers needn’t do so much but they should have pressed him not to buy until final determination of the suit at the highest court of the land i.e the Supreme Court. I guess the lure of owning the property was too much to resist.

As a lawyer, elementary knowledge of government institutions lawyers as being notorious for the gross and crass incompetence is enough to discourage your client from purchasing such a property . But of course, they are all the same .

What is so special about vi that that money can't buy house? Have you seen better properties in abroad that is worth that amount or even lesser with modern edifice and facilities? VI is overrated

The lawyer was just interested in his service fees - fear property lawyers.

That was how one was pushing me to purchase an encumbered property when I returned from UK to Nigeria in 2011, despite overwhelmingly evidence that the land was under dispute by different blocks of the same family. He insisted that we should go ahead with the purchase and that he knew the overall head of the family. My own wisdom prevailed and I bailed out - the guy that later bought the property, at double the price I would have paid, regretted it and never recovered from the loss of the property to the rightful owner.
