It is laughable that dss is supposed to be the equivalent of the cia. What a joke.
I have never heard of the cia or US secret service harassing opposition members in the US.

If any Nigerian billionaire pulls that stunt Musk pulled some months ago about Trump being on Epstein list on Tinubu, I bet dss will arrest him or her within 72 hours unless the person travel out first.
Vigilante and professional security group shouldn't be in the same sentence
The difference is clear as day and night

Which one is vigilante? Make dss no go trace you oh. grin I don't trust seun, that guy will easily share user details with dss if slightly pressured.

Dss don't know what they're supposed to be doing, same way they were chasing judges, and locking entrance of national assembly to prevent legislators from voting on a bill that would've affected buhari back then.

This country is a circus. grin

Badagry road under APC

https://www.facebook.com/share/r/19jUjg7QZV/
Thank God they finished it at last. They constructed this road for almost 14 years. It was started under Fashola's government around 2010 or thereabouts.

I see shege for that road Sha.

Call Raumdeuter - a known innovator in the agricultural space, pioneering new techniques for increased yield of fruit of the womb.

Hes not affordable though, but the effectiveness of his 'consultancy services' is not in doubt. SoDIQ is a more affordable fukufaka supplier, but clients complain that the way he tills the soil for planting is too rough.

The road was so terrible that only okada could ply at one point. PDP should not happen to our infrastructure again.

Did you guys read the news of the Ukrainian lady killed in a bus in the US state of North Carolina? I re-watched the video almost seven times.
The girl was on her phone peacefully, only for the guy to come from the back, and stab her, unprovoked. Like, she didn't talk to him or anything oh.

Sometimes, when I read things happening in that country, I can't help but wonder what's really going on there. The killer has previously been arrested 14 times for violent crimes, and they keep releasing him.

It seems their judicial system is useless too, although not as useless as the Nigerian justice system.
Anybody can kpai you anytime in that country. Y'all residing there, please stay safe.
Seriously, that country is full of psychos. I wonder how they think there. Someone will wake up in the morning and suddenly think, Let me go and murder people for no reason. Girl was sitting pressing her phone, he just stabbed her in the neck for no reason.

Government of Renovation

President said in Brazil that corruption has ended in Nigeria, then renovated it because of emilokan

Finance Minister said we have met our revenue target for the year and don't need to borrow, then renovated it, now wants to borrow avsuby

Speaker of Reps said we should not borrow because our debt to GDP is high - over 50%, then renovated it because of 'on your mandate'

Ambode only ruled for 4 years out of the 14 years the road project lasted na.

Anyways, If u check the facebook post, the caption of the video gives credit to APC as being the government responsible for constructing the road. The post didn't say whether it was Fashola, Ambode or Sanwoolu that constructed it. I have no issues with that at all because indeed APC government was responsible for the construction from start to finish.

I am only grateful they completed the road even tho it lasted 14 years. A win is a win.

ambode is from epe and he focused a lot of resources on epe - even though the place is more of a hamlet and there were places in lagos that needed more attention. and what he should have really focused on was the single lane bridge into epe. after all his work - there is a major bottleneck

the project started in 2010 like you said. it was originally funded by world bank. it was more or less completely abandoned during ambode tenure. Ambode wanted projects with his name and only his name on them . like the nonsense monstrosity in oshodi and the very well done airport road. that may be when funding transited from WB to LASG.

you may recall that one of the first things sanwo did was fix alakija/third gate . that was a complete nightmare where it would take 2 hours to navigate a roundabout and it was so bad people were being robbed repeatedly in that traffic once the sun went down.

it did not have to take 14 years and if it had been a different governor, it may have been closed out earlier. when a project restarts you have to remobiilze CCECC, renegotiate, add new clauses, and generally promise it will not happen again

Can we all see how NUPENG, PENGASSAN and the Retail Fuel Outlet Owners are sabotaging the country & Nigerians?

This morning, I dropped the kids at school. On the way out, I noticed most filling stations were closed, and the few that were open did not allow vehicle entry and were only dispensing into jerrycans. Luckily, I had a 10L jerrycan in the booth so I was able to buy but at #1200/L, as opposed to the normal #870 - #900 price it's been sold here.

I asked the fuel station manager the reason, and he said their union has issues with Dangote so their strike action is to force Dangote to capitulate to their demands to join their union, and sell fuel at their dictated price.

At this point I am tired. Why unions go dey flex muscles at the expense of Nigerians? Why?

Actually, it is Dangote that you should be blaming

How can he decide for his workers not to join the Union? Is that one not dictatorship?

I know these Unions are something else, but Dangote cannot say his workers will not be part of NUPENG. That already, is against labour laws.

you want to come at the king angry angry angry

i am still trying to make sense out of the whole thing

because i personally have no love for tanker drivers who keep holding us all to ransom. anytime one of them is arrested , they go on strike . they are literally a law onto themselves. on the other side a dangote monopoly is not good for anyone

i have not really taken the time to take a deep dive into the matter

He didn't do any wrong fixing Epe; In fact he should be credited for opening that corridor up. The investment in real estate along that corridor that we see today is as a result of him opening that place up with the road project. Epe has never been an hamlet, there are government institutions and infrastructure in Epe; consecutive governments have overlooked Epe for too long. Nobody chastised Fashola for fixing Surulere, so why condemn Ambode for opening up Epe?

Perhaps if the amount they give back to their godfather as kickbacks for allowing them rule in peace as governor is reduced, they wouldn't have to ration state funds amongst competing projects. Maybe if they are allowed to use most of the state revenue for actual governance, they won't have to abandon one project to focus fund on another one.

actually all of the nigerian owned oil companies have done this. if any foreign company is bought over - first order of business is to kill union

when mrs bought over texaco they did it. our own then mgt did everything they could to kill union but las las they failed. if total should exit nigeria today, that is the first thing the naija owners will do

nigerian businessmen hate unions because they prevent arbitrarily sack of staff

check well

Ambode did not continue any project he met on ground. is it because of funding that he scattered the perfectly working psp arrangment to bring in an untried and untested visionscape?

in fact ambode PURGED lasg of anyone remotely aligned with fasholas administration. years of institutional knowledge purged because of his petty ego and beef with fashola

imho there is not much in epe. i was still there last week.

Na by force to join union? His workers should join union so that they'll be going on strike anyhow, and disrupting his business? No businessman irrespective of the clime will be happy about his workers joining, or creating any union.

It is actually Dangote that is to blame for this issue not the Unions.

Nigerian Labour laws allows for staff of oil companies to belong to respective labour unions like PENGASSEN, NUPENG, etc. Dangote banning his staff from belonging to these labour unions is in contravention of labour laws.

The only way these unions can force his hand is to go on strike since strike is the only language Nigerian government and employers understand.

As regards ur last paragraph, that is a blatant lie; nobody is forcing Dangote to sell PMS at a dictated price. In fact, marketers who import their PMS are willing to sell below the price Dangote is selling. As at This past Saturday I bought PMS at 845 per liter at an independent marketer filling station along Lasu-Iba road, while MRS that sells Dangote PMS still sells for N860 and NNPC sells for N865.

It is not a by force thing...It's a law, that your workers decide (not the employer).

I am very sure any worker wants a Union. Unions are of more benefits to the workers than employers.
