Once your account record up to or above 800k annually, u will pay 20% of that money as tax. So students & jobless people may likely not earn that amount. But if u are spending up to 800k annually, u will be taxed even if u are a student.

I had always suspected this to come-in one day to Nigeria as a whole.I was expecting it come up after he wins his second term in 2027. Now its here.

He may have Indirectly just shot himself in the leg, because If true THIS POLICY MAY ACTUALLY BE THE DECIDING FACTOR COME 2027 ELECTIONS.

What some people hate to hear,the word tax gives them heartaches…the only thing the like to hear is subsidy and palliatives.
A wise person will go and register his business and obtain the TIN before time when enforcement will beginyou are a youth,paying taxes should not be your concern but the use of the revenue.how many countries still pays subsidies or don’t collect taxes in the world?.anyway there is no kid that will be happy if his father stops the stipends.
The monies they were using to pay subsidies were borrowed,stoping subsidies does not mean they will stop borrowing as some of you supposed.they can now borrow to provide infrastructures instead of doing give away in the name of subsidy.
All the 36 governors have testified to increased allocation,you should hold them responsible for not seeing corresponding increase in development.

how is he a thief, we all want development like that of the ones in the developed countries but we do not want to do what they are doing .
Ask about their Tax in Uk and Us or any other.
Theybare tax for virtually everything and yet, theybuse tbeir money to get weapon and ship to Isreal.
That aside, if you do not want your country to borrow, then the other alternative is for the country to make Tax effective.
Out of 250million, just 10 million pay tax., just imagine 200 million should pay tax, that's more revenue for the government ,more project to be executed with less borrowing. No magic about it .

The timing is too short; the awareness extremely poor; especially for peasants & low paid workers in areas apart from state capitals. Minimum of 2 years should have been given before it comes into full effect. This is another call to suffer nigerians, in queues all over the country.
