There is never a right time. Nigerians should work more on how to hold the government accountable than merely making noise all over the place.
You are talking about this Nigeria where the executive arms of government has suppressed the Legislative and the judiciary? No law functions nobody can hold govt accountable here hence you want you and your family being whisked, see how DSS put more efforts ensuring Sowore post about President Tinubu be taken down they wrote to eventually all the social media platforms admins and owners to take down Sowore post is that democracy to you? Just rest if you nor know Wetin to talk

We all know those who can actually run Nigeria better but based on tribalism and religion sentiments we play politics with important things our problem will last till next 8yrs if we never still understand we go continue the suffering 😂

we will soon find out if there is a right time
That was how they told us removal of subsidies is the panacea to all our problems it will help us save money that can be applied to important areas, we have seen the negative effects of that decision
They also told us flotation of naira/ devaluation will cure all the malaise, we've seen how devastating that action has been by accentuating the multidimensional poverty and hardship in the land
Now they've shifted their focus on taxation,
It is just unfortunate that it is the ordinary Nigerians that are bearing the brunt of this their ill thought, try and error policies
They've turned Nigerians into genuine pig for their ideas, learning on the job

We are not ready as a people to hold political office holders responsible and accountable simply because when we search within our soul we mostly find out that we are a reflection of our leaders. End of story!

The sweet thing about this tax thing is that every tribe and tongue in Nigeria go pay am. Including those who give block votes to dullards and those who thought that the administration will favor them because of tribalism. All man go pay!

You can not tax your way to prosperity ,the earlier this government know this the better for them
Taxes are fiscal instruments the government uses to attend to particular issues at some time, not something that can cure all ailments, it should have timing and what is going on in the economy
This is not the time for government to overwhelmed the citizens with tax,it will have negative effect and will be counter productive
The government is fixated on the obligation of citizens to pay tax, but conveniently ignoring the corresponding obligation of the government to use the Taxes responsibility in a manner that will impact the lives of tax payers positively, just like it is done is advance countries where they copy taxation from
You should be telling the U.K. government this

I haven't seen a single negative effect of any of what you have written up there. Not one have I or my family experienced.

See, tax are paid around the world. Nigeria should not be an exception.

Please be reasonable. Explain how it is ordinary Nigerians that are bearing the brunt of the tax reforms. How is it an error policy? How is removal of subsidy an error? Do you have the money to pay? Are you unaware that the country's debts were skyrocketing due to subsidies?

This is showing a lot of ignorance boldly. What is the current tax and what is the new tax reform? Which one is worse and why? Did you employ any need for critical thinking at all in this matter?

The problem of Nigeria is not tax but corruption, wastage and maladministration. Did you not read that without tax ID no banking? This administration have never done anything but to impoverish and dip hands into the pockets of the Nigerian masses. Ordinarily, everyone should be happy about the new tax regime and it's expected returns...but guess what? An evil tree cannot bear good fruits except with divine intervention.

Tax ID is for taxable Nigerians or residents. It's obtainable in other parts of the world. Are you taxable? Do you want to evade tax? Did Jesus evade taxes?

I repeat the problem for Nigerians isn't paying Taxes but paying taxes only for it to be mismaged and looted by corrupt politicians who don't think they owe the citizens any accountability will be diabolical and create new consequences of shocking proportions.

Nigerian cannot pay taxes and INEC who is paid from our taxes riggs elections against sane taxes paying Nigerians to favour criminal politicians.

Local government councils can't take tax payers monies and go on shopping sprees and buying houses for girlfriends.

There has to be a equivalent responsibility and consequences of mismanagement of taxes by government to taxpayers.
one thing I know is that when they start these tax laws in Nigeria; several political upheavals driven by mass unrest will begin...and not even the paramilitary nor police will be able to stop it, then the end of this republic may begin. Right now, citizens are still quiet because it is assumed that they have not touch 'our' personal, but they are stealing money from natural resources like crude oil. At this rate, even government will know that enough is enough of administrative rascality

He reminds me of Keyamo , Abike and the likes, it seems anyone who joins APC joins the darkside and gets twisted to the side of evil.

Just look at the sort of policies he is churning out, multiple taxes with no programme for income generation or economic stimulation.

Demonic possession is definitely a criteria for anyone working for this administration.

This is pure evil, we are going to see multiple taxation on a very large scale, this is not about development for a well orchestrated programme of impoverishment of the masses.

Accounts without TID will be hijacked from people, this will no doubt serve as a tool to victimize opponents.

1984 is rebooting in 2026 in Naija.

We heard something similar with electricity " Govt should just give us 24/7 light, we are willing to pay". Now that there is band A and folks are getting 22+ hours a day at the cost reflective tariff, folks are complaining day and night.

We heard something similar during the height of fuel scarcity and queues. "petrol should just be available, we are willing to pay the proper price for it". Now we have a huge refinery and unsubsidised petrol and folks are complaining day and night!

Moral of the story, never believe those "nigerians have no problem paying tax" type of comments.

He doesn’t know the cost of life, the price of the bean, of the fish, of the flour, of the rent, of the shoes and of the medicine, all depends on political decisions. The political illiterate is so stupid that he is proud and swells his chest saying that he hates politics.

The slowpoke doesn’t know that, from his political ignorance is born the prostitute, the abandoned child, and the worst thieves of all, the bad politician, corrupted and flunky of the national and multinational companies.”

Band A should be optional for those who want it not forced on certain locations or people.

2. Is there anybody on band receiving free electricity after complaining? people have a right to complain or even opt out if possible especially if they were aware of the full cost or implications.

3. what is Yr argument about exactly? That people should not pay the new tax or that people should not act like they are ok with the taxes and complain later?

I foresee people keeping their cash out of banks. They better no start taxing every money that enters account as that one no be salary.Advanced countries dont tax money in ur account as it could be gift or merely a transaction wit ur interest being 2%

Has the debt reduced since subsidies removal , no ,it has even skyrocketed
The government is insincere everything they revolted against, they are doing now
It shows how shameless, deceitful and two faced they are
