check well

Ambode did not continue any project he met on ground. is it because of funding that he scattered the perfectly working psp arrangment to bring in an untried and untested visionscape?

in fact ambode PURGED lasg of anyone remotely aligned with fasholas administration. years of institutional knowledge purged because of his petty ego and beef with fashola

imho there is not much in epe. i was still there last week.
I am not an expert in internal wranglings within the APC so I don't know whether he decided to continue or discontinue any project but the fact is the the Fashola administration was actually supposed to have completed the phase 2 of that Badagry Expressway in early 2015

When the contract was awarded in January 2012 to Messrs China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, CCECC, the Lagos State government fixed January 2015, a 36-month period for its completion.
That being said, we can't claim Lagos mainland is densely congested and at the same time chastise Ambode for Opening up Epe. He did the same thing in Alimosho opening up Aboru, Ipaja-Abule Egba-Ekoro road-Ikola-Kola/Ait corridor.

Sanwoolu is also following that pattern by constructing and commissioning the linke bridge bewteen Lasu-Igando road and Baruwa/Ayobo-Ipaja . Nothing wrong is opening up roads in rural areas in a densely populated state like Lagos.

[color=royalblue]Towns that are borders between two states usually suffer the most.

The governor of your state will not send you. The governor of the other state will not send you.

Ambode just had to save his place, because nobody was going to. That was their only shot, and he overdid it grin. Left Lagos to suffer, but Epe must have good roads grin

Better put; he focused on areas that have always been abandoned by previous governments.

While other governors were focusing on VI, Surulere, Lagos Island, etc....Ambode chose to focus on Agege, Alagbado, Abule Egba, Ekoro, Badagry, etc. There are some places in Alimosho that are densely populated but have never felt the impact of government for years till Ambode decided to focus on them.

BlueRayDick:
He didn't do any wrong fixing Epe; In fact he should be credited for opening that corridor up. The investment in real estate along that corridor that we see today is as a result of him opening that place up with the road project. Epe has never been an hamlet, there are government institutions and infrastructure in Epe; consecutive governments have overlooked Epe for too long. Nobody chastised Fashola for fixing Surulere, so why condemn Ambode for opening up Epe?

Perhaps if the amount they give back to their godfather as kickbacks for allowing them rule in peace as governor is reduced, they wouldn't have to ration state funds amongst competing projects. Maybe if they are allowed to use most of the state revenue for actual governance, they won't have to abandon one project to focus fund on another one.
Actually without the godfather most of them will never become candidate never mind Governor, they would have had to go into personal debt to get the party ticket before they can win the election. The election process is guaranteed to be very bitter but their benevolent godfather ensured that all these do not happen, the state does not suffer from brutal electioneering every 4yrs. Then when governance comes the governors are not trying to recoup their personal coffer they depleted for elections

We have had great products of the same godfather like Fashola and Sanwoolu deliver to the people, 2 rail lines are now running in Lagos when many people swore it will never come to light, Kudos to the APC ran Lagos state and to their godfather who made this happen

Call Raumdeuter - a known innovator in the agricultural space, pioneering new techniques for increased yield of fruit of the womb.

Hes not affordable though, but the effectiveness of his 'consultancy services' is not in doubt. SoDIQ is a more affordable fukufaka supplier, but clients complain that the way he tills the soil for planting is too rough.

I thought one of the the essence of the new tax bill is to address issues such as the one he is raising in the video. I thought the reason they were celebrating the new tax bill is to ensure states like Imo get tax of companies like the ones he mentioned in the video that have head office in Lagos but operational base in Imo.

Is he saying that has not been addressed by the new tax law?

why would an oil company ant to endanger it workers by putting them in a location under threat by domestic terrorists?

we are working in enugu. no work on monday is ironclad. if you have meeting on monday, you come in the day before.

Ambode only ruled for 4 years out of the 14 years the road project lasted na.

Anyways, If u check the facebook post, the caption of the video gives credit to APC as being the government responsible for constructing the road. The post didn't say whether it was Fashola, Ambode or Sanwoolu that constructed it. I have no issues with that at all because indeed APC government was responsible for the construction from start to finish.

I am only grateful they completed the road even tho it lasted 14 years. A win is a win.
That particular section of road in the video is Badagry to Agbara, it was constructed by Buhari Govt under Fashola Federal Ministry of Work, Tinubu Govt continued and will complete it. Just the Odofa to Agbara section remain.
Fashola as Governor of Lagos started the Lagos - Badagry expressway section of Orile to Okokomaiko, Ambode completely abandoned it and other Fashola projects for 4 years. It was Sanwo-Olu that continued and completed the section from Alakija to Okokomaiko.

You have only repeated what has already been said before; that APC government constructed the road and completed it after 14 years.

He's a sitting governor, if he's making such statements then he knows he has to back it up with actions..Let him worry about that..

He's well within his rights to ask for that revenue..

Are you saying there are no oil company staff resident in Imo state an oil producing state?

If yes, then how do the oil companies Hope Uzodinma was referring to in the video carry out exploration in their oil wells situated within the state? Do they carry out the exploration via Bluetooth from their headquarters in Lagos?

What I know is oil companies have their head office/corporate office in Lagos for commercial and strategic reasons. It has always been so even before the whole insurgency/IPOB matter. Just the same way those companies have a commercial office situated in Dubai.

If there are workers in dangerous zones it will be the low level workers, We saw his with Shell and Niger Delta, when it became dangerous they sent their senior staff and expatriates to Lagos and kept the low level staff in the oil creeks

The real grunt work is done by the low level staff while the Ogas hide in a secure environment.

The Oil companies used to be Headquartered in the producing states until insecurity chased them out

If they are using Stay at home to attack senior staffs they will flee

All you said here is premises on "if".

The governor didn't allude to that in the video. He never claimed the oil companies relocated their headquarters from Imo state to Lagos. That one na agenda.

He only lamented why the oil companies have their headquarters in Lagos. (Which has been the case before the IPOB issue began under Buhari).

Hope Uzodinma is saying they don't even have a registered office in Imo state which is quite strange.

shell had a large footprint in the ND before MEND started bombing shell quarters

Back then, MEND said that the attack was a “final warning” before it turns its attention to oil workers, storage facilities, offices, and other “soft oil industry targets”. (see Nigeria: 1 May 2006: Militants Attack Fuel Tanks in Nigeria; Chinese Investors Warned Off).

Port Harcourt — There was panic in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital yesterday as explosions rocked residential quarters of staff of the Shell Petroleum Development Company [SPDC] and Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) early in the morning.

At the Shell Residential Area along Port Harcourt-Aba Express Road about 10 vehicles were reportedly damaged though Police said four were burnt.

Why then do oil companies have their HQ in Lagos? We were all alive when in the mid 2000s at peak of militancy they moved their HQ to Lagos
