When will factory workers, securities in banks, oil companies, fast food etc have their own union or they dont deserve it?

NUPENG- You can't deny the drivers their right to join our union.

Dangote- Yeah, but you can't force them to join against the wish. Only the willing ones can join.

If my friend is one of the drivers, i will advise him not to be among the willing drivers

Section 40 of the 1999 Constitution states:

Every person shall be entitled to assemble freely and associate with other persons, and in particular he may form or belong to any political party, trade union or any other association for the protection of his interests.


This means Nigerians have the right to join or not join any trade union of their choice. No one can be forced.

It will not rather NUPENG will start to raise ₦1 here and there per liter blocking tankers on the road that increase the price ex depot

Anytime, anybody sees any petrol station burning, please do not assist them in any way to quench the fire because those people are wicked. Imagine strike of less than 12 hours they had initiated scarcity. Imagine I bough a liter for 2000

What I don't understand is this
What will the union do if the employer is paying his staff higher salary and welfare benefits than what the Federal government and other employers pays. Can the Union force the said employer to reduce his staff pay to meet the level of others?

Me that had washed my car this evening and parked it with the above half tank I had. Thanking God for the good reason of not showing up to work 2moro. I have now decided that Tiniubu govt will not drive me nuts. Instead I will focus on my side hustle and leave govt work for who get am. At least not seeing transport to work would be a very good excuse. Useless Government

Nupeng just want to use Dangote drivers to their advantage incase of strikes so that everywhere would be totally locked down. But I will advise Dangote to partner with NRC to also be moving his products through rail

It's not Dangote that wanted to go on strike. It was NUPENG and that would have affected Nigeria and "held the nation to ransom". If NUPENG went on with the strike,it wouldn't really affect Dangote,he already has international clients he is serving. Nigerians would have been the ones who will suffer. Unionism is normal but it's also "normal" for a private company to not unionize. It's like the case of federal universities and private universities. ASUU,NASU can't demand that private university workers should join any union.

You're not taking care if your staff. The workers are offering their time abd services for the growth of your company, in return you pay them stipends. The workers have every right to join a union that protects their rights and interest.
