Good day.

I just finished my BSc and i'm trying to apply for a masters in Germany. It turns out that they now require, at the embassy during visa application, your first school leaving Certificate and BECE (junior waec) and I'm having name discrepancies in the order of arrangement on these documents with my FSLC carrying my surname and first name, BECE carrying my surname, middle name and first name while my Waec, NIN, degree and co carries my surname, First name and Middle all in the respective orders stated. This is even more frustrating as the mistakes were made by my school as we were too young to know about this whole name thing in primary and junior secondary school, every other thing I filled myself have the right order.

My question is how do I go about rectifying this? Does the affidavit and newspaper publication objectively rectify this? Does it affect chances of a successful application/decision?.

Please be kind enough to respond when you see this, I'll be anticipating your responses, I need as much input as I can get on this.

Thank you all in advance.

Good day all, I am new to all of this and I would love to travel to Germany for a masters in Chemical Engineering. Got my BEng this year and I’m currently in wait for my statement of results. I just recently started learning German and I’m aiming for B2 in 8 months give or take. I have just learned that the wait for and appointment mail could take 3 months while the wait for Appointment could take a year and 6 months there about. That’s a lot of time quite frankly but how do I start this journey, how can I apply for appointment date so that I can join the queue, just help me with a road map of this process in general. Your helpful tips would be greatly appreciated ❤️

You don't need a Newspaper publication, an Affidavit is enough. Go to a High Court and tell them you want to do an affirmation for those documents with name discrepancies, they will list all the document, with how the name was written and the document number and they state at the end that you are the one bearing all of them, your name now written how you want it to be arranged. (make sure the way the name is arranged is how you currently arrange it).

Note that you don't need a separate document for each document with issue, for the affirmation each document with issues will be listed one after the other and the concluding part will state how your name is arranged and any other necessary correction.

Please, is online npc Attestation of birth accepted at the embassy?
Or has anyone gotten visa with the online npc attestation of birth?
To avoid taking any chances or 'winging it', just create time and go to NPC office in Surulere and do it there. Go with your international passport / NIN + photocopy, 1 passport photograph, and of course the age declaration document you got from high court. You'll be told the price when you get there.

Plan at least 2 weeks ahead before your interview so get this sorted (because it takes at most 2 weeks for the document to be ready)

Thanks for your response, I appreciate it. Also I asked this here before but the responses weren't really clear/convincing.

Is the fast track for First class honours holders still available? Also anyone with first hand experience recently, I'd really appreciate your response to this.

Thanks

When you did your research, what was the outcome? Where did you search also?

Hello guys,

Has anyone got appointment date recently? If yes, can you please state your application date with your appointment date?

I need to ascertain the pace at which appointment dates are issued.

Thank you

Note: you can not be the deponent on your own birth attestation letter and your age declaration. One of your parent would be the deponent.

Yup, five weeks here

I guess it's peak season for them with the winter semester, and they have to go through a lot of applications now.

Hopefully we should start getting visa updates soon on this thread from all waiting 🙏

Use “partial scholarship” option and upload your first class certificate for the proof of scholarship

You have to get the process right from the Entry form.
What’s the waiting period displayed?

This waiting might be peculiar to only those going to Bavaria. But why are they taking that long?
