The change is nothing unique, many developed nations don't believe in 9 to 5 job, so as long as we look up to them as models, it was only a question of time that at certain stage, we align with what the development processes bring.

Total crap and why would I take jobberman serious ? Nigerian youths don't believe in 9-5 jobs but every single vacancy openings in jobs portals are over applied?
For emphasis 9 -5 jobs does not mean working from 9am to 5pm but working nine hours from Monday - Fridays.

As I dey talk now I never collect August Salary 9-5 is not for the weak... No savings you save and the savings wont smell the following month.I never believe at my age am still doing 9-5. Well am about to change that narrative come 2026. This rubbish must stop

Both are good, but I cannot go back to 9 to 5 after testing the gig economy. I love when I see Nigerians on the field matching it up with the Indians and Pakistanis.
Most of the funds that the government report is diaspora remittance are made by Nigerians at home.
The economy needs to expand with the little contribution from everyone.

Which boss allow you resume 9am? That's 8 hours a day. Abi u tink say 9-5 means resume work at 9am? In case u nor know oo 9-5 means working 9 hours a day for 5 days a week.

I suffered mental health working a 9 to 5 job, the emotional torture, the toxic environment and the low pay really dealt a big setback on me, I had to go learn a skill that I can blame myself if there's any failure rather than lamenting and enriching a cruel organization, go to agbara ogun state you will see how this indians, Chinese and Lebanese are using there employees with enough benefits and welfarism, well thank God for life, and i pray never to go back looking for job, and the people caught in-between should see freedom.

You see that toxic work environment is the worst. Especially where young ladies are dominant

Cause in the traditional sense it's 9am to 5pm or official working hours for the day.

I prefer to be selling cement than to pick a job that somebody somewhere will dictate how much to pay me which is not certain.
When the boss is happy everyone fine but............ I comment my reserve.

One way or the other, the Nigerian worker spends His monies(salaries) in dollars. That is why when the price of dollars go up, the worker may find it hard to make His money to meet up.

Wish our public amenities and infrastructures are working, nobody will care about how small your salary is.

Our system here does not support us, that is why we mostly go for business.

The problem is that the 7 to 4 job makes all the jobs aside easy and possible. Once it is taken away, the jobs aside will start becoming hard to get.

And the 9-5 is not certain you may even end up working more with no OT . Over here if u work more than ur normal time schedule be sure to get OT. And it’s compulsory to have a 30 min break after a 4hours job and a 15 min extra if u work an 8 hr shift .

true, most bosses are toxic , the timing is so long , no proper renumeration, poor salary.
