FavouriteOfGod:Are you a stranger in JERUSALEM? Under Ambode, there was a like a repeal to encourage bike hailing. It is rumored Ambode or his wife had links to the bike hailing apps. However, once Ambode was gone, and the Okada riders started misbehaving-the killing of a passenger in Lekki Phase 1-was the final straw, a very tough stance was re-introduced. This was in 2020. Ambode left office in 2019. |

I actually support a very strict regulation of their activities but a total ban because a few use them for criminal acts as justified by some people is just not too reasonable. If it's the level or frequency of their accidents it's quite reasonable to justify more restrictions. Don't kidnappers, and other terrorist organizations in Nigeria not use standard vehicles, let them ban any model of vehicle used by these criminals too. Do you know how many people that will lose their source of income as a result of this total ban. Mechanics/engineers, auto part dealers etc, who deals on motorcycle, those street food vendors, some landlords won't get thier rents anytime soon, the list is quite longer than this |

treesun:When the government of Lagos is ready to work , things will change. Get a metal crushing mobile machine and crush the hell out of the deviant bike on sight without moving and inch and all other will vanish even rickety danfo buses will receive sense. |

Eriokanmi:If you can't cope with Lagos, go to your village, not by force to be in Lagos...most of those Okada men are better doing dignified jobs in their states, like animal farming, crop farming and trading, Okada riding is not a dignified or good job, they remain in poverty, stop perpetuating poverty, they should look for something better to do. Criminals use Okada to operate, security is paramount. |
