The Compatriots Group has released a comprehensive analysis comparing the backgrounds of five prominent Nigerians who have emerged as leading figures in the conversation about Nigeria’s future leadership: Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Peter Obi, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Atiku Abubakar, and Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

According to the data compiled by The Compatriots Group:

Bola Ahmed Tinubu (73) holds a degree in Accounting and Management from Chicago State University and has served as Senator for Lagos West, Governor of Lagos State for two terms, and is the current President of Nigeria.

Peter Obi (64), who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, served two terms as Governor of Anambra State and has held leadership positions such as Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Chairman of the South-East Governors’ Forum.

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (68) earned advanced degrees in Civil Engineering, including a PhD from Sharda University, India, and has served as Governor of Kano State, Minister of Defence, and a Senator.

Atiku Abubakar (78) studied law and international relations, rising through the ranks from a tax officer to Deputy Director of the Nigeria Customs Service before serving as Vice President of Nigeria for two terms.

Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi (60) has a diverse academic portfolio, including degrees in English Studies, Law, and an LLM from King’s College London. His career highlights include two two terms as Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, two terms as Governor of Rivers State, two terms as Minister of Transportation, and two terms as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.

The Compatriots Group stated that this initiative aims to encourage informed public discourse by providing factual, side-by-side profiles of aspirants as the country heads towards a pivotal moment in its democratic journey.

“Our goal is to foster a more issues-driven conversation by equipping citizens with clear, accurate information about those seeking to lead the nation,” said a spokesperson for The Compatriots Group.

“Leadership decisions must be based on a deep understanding of candidates’ qualifications and track records, not just political rhetoric.”

The infographic is being distributed across social and traditional media platforms to stimulate meaningful dialogue and ensure that voters are well-informed ahead of the next election cycle.

I doubt the credibility of this, but of it's true, Tinubu really didn't live healthy growing.

Peter Obis' achievements both in and out of governance that can fill two A4 sheets is what they reduced to just one or two sentences just so they can make it look like he's on the same level with Tinubu!

The writer must be an Atiku Supporter. He is the least educated amongs them but painted the profile to look better than others. Tinubu is first class graduate, he has private sector experience spanning Deloitte’s and Mobil before delving into Politics. One time Senator, Governor and has built a lot of followership in Politics. He is more an intentional leader than others. He has the best profile.
