Chief Obafemi Awolowo mooted the idea of a secession clause in 1954 during the Lagos Constitutional Conference, but Nnamdi Azikiwe rejected it, galvanising a majority of the conference attendees to kill the idea. |

Constitutions could be amended if need be, Nigeria has always amended her constitution from time immemorial but somehow this succession constitution seems unamendable. But when Tilumbu wanted to change the national anthem it took him less than 2weeks to get the anthem changed... Reno is just a lost cow. |

Reno should pity his wife and help her to feed his children. The poor woman has suffered enough already. |

YoshiMaster:No one. Tinubu is just using him to avoid him continuing exposing his horrible past. Remember how he told the whole world that he hired Segun Showunmi for Atiku. He even went as far to post how much Segun was paid. Remember how he posted on social media the email Peter Obi sent him regarding being a running mate to Atiku. He doesn't know he has shot himself on the leg. Now everyone can see he is unreliable and can easily be bought. |

@Topic. The SE lot know the truth in Reno Omokri's submission. They have always known the truth but will continue to reject it so they can play victim and blame others always for their self-inflicted woes. They will shout "Yorubas won't let us go" and are "unity beggars". When you point out to them that Azikiwe made it impossible for you to leave, playing into the hands of Northerners by making secession an act of treason against Nigeria, they'll ignore that fact to make same claim tomorrow like the chap I corrected below on another thread. They will say Nigeria fought and killed them to prevent them leaving. Yet they will reject the factual point that Nigeria fought against the idea of Biafra, and not Igbos, because Azikiwe made secession an act of treason while Ojukwu lawlessly ignored that reality to wilfully, irresponsibly and recklessly cause a war his own people became the major victims. Their general penchant for being irresponsible, irrational and unwilling to accept blame for what they do wrong will always be their downfall. https://www.nairaland.com/8516112/fulani-man-values-cows-over/1#136752363

phorget:Reno is a "lost Cow" ba? This is the innate irresponsibility and penchant for playing victim of you guys, that makes you incapable of confronting the truth and then lands you in trouble always. If you argue the constitution be changed to facilitate secession clause, why not start by charging your legislators to push the effort from the NASS and HOR? Why talk as if Yorubas or others should be arrowheads of your secession attempts rather than you own political and legislative leaders? If you people respect facts and Nigerian reality you'd know the composition of our lawmakers to understand the North, that will never support secession, has the majority and will naturally thwart any attempt to amend the constitution to grant balkanisation of Nigeria. You lot know the above yet you will continue barking "they won't let us go" at Yorubas daily when they do not care whether you leave Nigeria or not. Comical how non of you ever wonder why IPOB Senator Abaribe never moved the secession motion publicly at the NASS yet, privately and in your town hall meetings, he gingers you all about Biafra regularly. Yet I don't expect incisive reasoning or different talk, from what you submit here insulting Omokri, from a people too emotional to deal with facts and reality of Nigeria as normal folks can. |

WizardOfNG:So you know the north will never support succession but Reno is here blaming Igbos for not allowing succession clause in the constitution. Okay let me speak for the igbos now... Igbos are ready for a succession clause in the constitution, can you now help me inform Reno to tell the people that matters to include it in our constitution please! You lots are always looking for who to blame, the igbos will never take the fall without defending themselves. Enough of all these lies that you people often pass to your next generation, if your fathers fed you lies must you also feed your children same lies? If igbos are the problem then won't it be safer to avoid them? Since 1966 till date no igboman has ever held the presidency or head of states position but yet you blame Igbos for every rots in your country, isn't it a shame that you lots has failed yourselves in leadership position? These generation of Igbos will not stand your lies anymore, over 50years and you are still blaming someone for not allowing a succession clause in your constitution, if succession clause is so important please ADD it now! |

Softmirror:So in essence, you are saying that it is good for a man to marry a woman, born children with her, and all of a sudden, abandon his family for another woman whom he impregnated out of wedlock? Remember that one day you'll have a daughter, and that's if you don't have one already. |
