Thank you. Thats how many joined bad gang and became part of the problem. They want to yoke and burden the Able-Alhaji under their satanic union. The man rightly rejected the forced unionism. |

Dangote added that since the refinery’s commissioning a year ago, Nigeria had shifted from being Africa’s biggest importer of refined fuel to a net exporter, reaching markets in the United States. The firm highlighted its production of by-products such as polypropylene, base oils, and jet fuel, which it said were driving growth in plastics, aviation, lubricants, and agro-processing.The benefits Nigerians have been denied by the chopping cabal. |

They should ask their staff if they wish to join union because dangote can't decide for them as well. |

CodeTemplarr:They should ask their staff if they wish to join union because dangote can't decide for them as well. Is not dangote that have the right to rejected the union, rather his workers. Don't be surprise if u later find out some of his workers pushing to join union because of what they are facing. |

"Dangote Petroleum Refinery has said membership of trade unions by its employees remains voluntary and not compulsory, in line with the Nigerian Constitution and International Labour Organisation conventions." Dangote is saying what is legally binding on workers in the Country...just that, many hidden caveats would have been imposed on its workers and they will most likely not join unions. Make NUPENG sef rest...you can't try holding the entire Nation to ransom, because some staff of a company don't want to join your union...na secret society Why the force!![]() Na so |

That’s how it ought to be. If it’s mandatory, then it’s no longer a union. |

I'm sure some workers will choose not to join because they don't want to pay Union dues. The Union should focus on getting its people to be more responsible and professional...but seems to me they are more interested in collecting union dues ... more members more money. |

That's just it, the law doesn't mandate anymore to join union. |

CoronaVirusPro:But a cult. Indeed this whole matter is a double edged sword. I can't but sit on the fence on this because it is a battle between the socialism of the unions and the capitalism of the industrialist. Both have been forces of good in the past. The unions have fought valiantly for the masses of Nigeria against reckless price increases before and Dangote's contribution to the economy remains unequalled on the other hand. However power without control is dangerous and as I have said many times before. Whoever wins these kinds of battles invariably enslaves everyone else. So it is up to onlookers, bottom feeders, the citizens of this country to choose who they rather have as master. And it is not as if we have not tasted both before. |

Originalsly:But some day, some time in a galaxy far, far away they will probably wish they had joined. Because all things do not work well all of the time in one's favour and the master you serve today may change in ways you don't find palatable. Remember, unions exist for a reason |

adioolayi:If DRL pulls through with it's 4k trucks roll out without the unions, it's game over for those union guys......all they do is collect fees and ticket drivers,no welfare,no policy articulation for good governance, just some guys feeding fat just for being union excos......if you need members, you can as well go buy your own trucks and give to drivers.....same should be done to nurtw and other road transport unions, those guys are a menace to society and have no contribution what so ever to the economy. |

Reference:How many battles ave the unions fought against casualisation and won......banks and many companies today still practice it and the NLC turns a blind eye......what policy articulation for good governance has the NURTW being able engender as a union other than touting and collecting fees without any accountability whatsoever being a burden into drivers and commuters alike. Why should I be forced to join a union when I spent my hard earned resources investing and buying trucks for petrol distribution.....dis the state or any union know me before I bought the truck? If anything happens to my investment will the union be there to offer any form of assistance? I support dangote on this. |

How many times have this union ask the federal government why our local refineries are not working even after spending billions on them, there should allow dangote run is business in peace, the man is doing what the federal government could not do with all the resources there control. |

Dangote is attempting to divide employees by singling some out through threats, incentives, and coercion to prevent them from joining the union. This strategy could undermine their right to collective bargaining. Comrades need to stand united. Even if you initially choose not to join the union, consider supporting it during this crucial stage before deciding to withdraw later. This is what we call solidarity forever. |

This was one of the clause that was included in the MOU and NUPENG signed it happily. I laughed when I saw the details of the MOU, Dangote representatives were smarter than them |

From my experience in the private sector, it is for their own good that they are in a union. However, as a company, Dangote is out to make profit and if unionship of her employees is a direct threat to that, she has her right to stand against it. They service a critical sector of the economy that MUST not be threatened unnecessarily. |

They keep creating union that don't care about your well-being, both in death or accident. All they care about is the daily contribution you make to their pockets |
