Did he borrow money from you to throw the party if not you are only saying nonsense |

helinues:This is weird... Very very weird... I'm trying to find words for it but can't. It's just weird that someone will spend so much time analyzing how someone else chooses to spend their money privately. If you have evidence of corruption against him, please go ahead and petition the EFCC. I really hate long writeups with no tangible action. Words can always be retracted, actions can't. |

umarnuhu1900:Reports indicate that over 5 billion naira of public funds were squandered on this opulent affair, a figure that, if verified, represents not merely fiscal irresponsibility but a profound moral bankruptcy. My takes: It's totally inconceivable that a man who is a public office holder would squander over 5 billion NGN of public funds on his 50th birthday party as a Gen X. This is a wild rumor though, BUT a forensic audit of the parastatal he heads MUST be done to verify or debunk this report. Period. |

Imagine what a commenter above is saying. As a public servant, how is he supposed to fund such debauchery if not by pilfering public funds |

Who are all these strange overnight wannabe society people that I've been seeing on nairaland lately? |

Goats bleating the usual "is it your money? ", "how someone chooses to spend their money", "mind your business" etc etc just goes to show how hopeless this country is. In societies that work, if you're in public service, you know you're accountable and every personal expenditure must correspond to what you're legally earning. But here, everything goes, and Stockholm syndrome and tribal loyalties will not allow people think straight. |

helinues:really?? Do you know any business Ogbuku operates before he became NDDC boss? A public office holder throwing such a lavish birthday party is completely inappropriate. If we continue to have this kind of your mindset against critics of those in power, they’ll run this country into the ground. Spending N5 billion, handing out iPhones and expensives items as party gifts. Something not even Nigeria’s most famous figures like Davido or Dangote would dare is beyond excessive. |

This is bad. Very very bad. How is a public office holder able to afford such a lavish lifestyle? |

Nigerians with ojuelegba statistics all the time. N5 Billion for a birthday party. Is it Nigeria's independence celebration? |

This comment of yours shows you may not really be normal after all. You are not closer to ogbuku than I am. In fact he is my man but I was extremely disappointed by this extravaganza. It was a show of corruption at its peak and quite very unnecessary. I asked myself severally if Nigerian leaders are cursed. Even if you stole so much, do you need to expose yourself like that. It was such a shameful display. Everything is not politics. helinues: |

These are men who Politics made billionaires. I knew these guy in 2012, he was using one old Toyota Camry tiny light gold color in Bendel estate. The moment he entered Politics, the rest is History. Not until we change the mind set that Politics is what should make people to become billionaires, we will continue to face acidic corruption in Nigeria. Young men don't believe in making money through entrepreneurship again, they now see Politics as the fastest way to become rich. |

Na wah, real wealth without enterprise. Anyway from January next year when people actually start having to cough out their hard earned money to pay tax, public servants will be scrutinised on how they spend public money. |

ogaemma:So na from warri e fall out from sef. Omo that's interesting. The entire write up just explains why nigeria is the way it is. The smart ones hide, the dull ones expose themselves. Majority of them are all the same wolves in wolves clothing Recently we saw what happened to athletes |
