I just purchased TECNO SPARK 40 PRO plus and after inserting the SIM card the 4g signal still shows even after offing the net work,did I buy the copy of TECNO SPARK 40 PRO PLUS pls answer me guys, below is the picture

No you didn't. The 4G you see there isn't the indicator for Internet connections. So you can turn off your Internet and still be connected to the 4G network to receive calls and other services as indicated.
The two arrows (uplink and downlink) you see on the other sim are the indicators that show if you are connected to the Internet.

But all TECNO devices I have used doesn't show 4g even after I off data connection

if you bought the phone from a Tecno store, or 3x hub, slot and the likes, you don’t have a problem

What's the correlation between turning data off and putting the phone in airplane mode?
Even your analysis with gen and nepa shows that you are very ignorant. The phone is not fake.

All techno devices are FAKE, quote me anywhere, it's either screen touch are misbehaving or calls won't display numbers on time or hanging when having important operating.

My problem is my Pro plus battery discharges quickly.

It's normal I just turned off my data to check, the 4g logo is there. That doesn't indicate whether your data is on or off .

It's nothing strange at all

Mine z spark 20 Pro plus though

My techno spark 30 pro shows 4G even after switching off the data

Go to sim settings and activate the use of 5g on your device, thats all..

Bro, relax first. From what you’re describing, it doesn’t mean you bought a fake phone. Many TECNO devices (and even other brands) are designed to always show the 4G/5G network icon as long as your SIM and the area support that network — whether your mobile data is ON or OFF.

The difference is this:

Mobile Data OFF 👉🏾 you’ll still see 4G signal, but apps won’t browse, stream, or update.

Mobile Data ON 👉🏾 internet becomes active and you can browse.


It’s just like electricity: the current may be available in the wires (signal showing), but until you switch on your bulb (data), nothing will work.

If you want to confirm the phone’s originality:

1. Dial *#06# to check the IMEI.


2. Enter the IMEI on TECNO’s official site (or Carlcare app) to verify it.


3. You can also install Carlcare app (preloaded on most TECNO phones) — it will tell you the exact model and confirm it’s genuine.



So no worries, your Spark 40 Pro Plus is most likely original. What you’re seeing is normal behavior for modern phones.

If you bought it from Temu as a discounted spark 40 pro they sold lately, trust me na original fake you bought.

No you didn't buy a fake. Even lower Phones show same 4G.

The only difference for when you put off your data is that the two incomplete arrows will stop showing beside the 4G of the sim card that the data is on

My Spark 20 pro shows the same thing and I've been using it for close to a year now.
