But he is not. The bad legacy you say he left is afflicting the people. That is exactly what we say about the relationship between the people and leadership particularly term based political leadership.

Those who are in for the long haul, those who are exposed to and suffer the effects of leadership for longer periods should be more circumspect in backing good governance through institution building rather than 'personalising' governance.

So it is not about hero worshiping Tinubu, Obi or Atiku but engaging them to improving the institutions they ultimately lead. Constantly tasking them to strengthen, improve the institutions of law and justice for example.

These things are more important than roads, bridges, airports even schools and hospitals because institutions and the effects they have on society outlive them all.

So is the present government advancing the present institutions of law, order and justice for example. Is the present police service improving, are all other security services advancing. That is what will matter when this government is gone. That is one of the factors to decide if it was a success or a failure like all before.

The West was once like that. Have you ever heard of operation wetie or wild wild west or June 12 riots.
The west is less politically agitated presently because it's aggressive elements hold the levers of power and influence. If tables are turned, you can find same situation in future. It's not exclusive to any tribe or section of the country
