Cancel the application request and do it again because your waiting time is supposed to be shorter or create another account and select that you have partial scholarship in the entry form as someone already stated

Please I also applied for appointment date but I have only received one mail since 2024..is it normal

Please don't make this mistake oo. Just Chill.
Your other appointment is still valid. You don't need the VIDEX form until its time for you to go for your appointment. The VIDEX form is easily accessible online. Just download it and fill it,its part of the documents you'll take along for your Interview.

Then I guess the long wait is particular to Bavaria, all the people I met that hasn’t heard back from the embassy are going to Bavaria, including myself

Hello everyone, i am an old User on this thread, it was useful during my application back in 2020, to God be the glory I made it to germany. However I want my brother to also come here for his masters, I checked the german appointment website it looks different now a lot has actually changed. Please can someone guide me or advice me, I wanted him to apply so he could be on the waiting list but the application website looks different, I think right now one need to be admitted in any university before you can apply for an appointment. Or am I missing something?

If you say yes then they ask for confirmation of an admission letter, God help you if you put anything fake!! Just know it's total ban and yes it's 2 years to get an appointment to study in Germany.

Lols very very normal. We all are waiting too. Hopefully they give out dates by tomorrow. What month in 2024 did you apply??

I applied to German embassy for visa interview date since November of 2023.
I finally have gotten a date after the long wait.
The admissions I got in January this year could not be deferred as communicated by the school.
I have applied for another admissions which I expect Success or reject mail by end of December, 2025.
The embassy require that I come along with evidence of admission and funding in three weeks time.
Any advise on how I can manage this, I have waited forever to blow this opportunity,
I need advise on way forward please

Why did they ask you for a rental agreement? I've never heard them doing that. Did you put an address on your videx form?

If you plan to defer your admission after your interview or after you've gotten your visa, you have to go back to the embassy for reissuance if you don't travel within 90 days, and I want you to imagine how that conversation would go and if they'll grant you approval afterwards. Short answer, no, they'll rescind their decision.

If you defer your admission before your interview and attend the interview with a letter of deferment, your chances of getting approval is very unlikely because you just rendered your current admission letter invalid and it could take months, up to Feb/March 2026 (beginning of SoSe) for you to get an updated admission letter. If you defer for 2 semesters (up to Aug/Sept for WiSe), that's an outright rejection because your admission letter is outdated, also they won't hold your passport for a year, and won't give you a visa when it's not time for you to travel according to your invalid documents anyways.

You need a current admission letter for the incoming semester you hope to resume into, which means, either ways, you're getting a visa denial for showing up to the embassy with a deferral.

In a nutshell, if you defer your admission before your AD, cancel your visa appointment, reapply on the new portal and wait for 1 year plus more, because your admission letter would be invalid if you approach them for the interview with that. If you don't defer and you don't travel when you're issued an approval, you may never get another German visa from any country again.

Better still he could defer his appointment at the embassy till he receives a new admission
