That was an 8-4 or 9-3 fight and 2 judges called it 7-5.

Tommy Robinson should encourage people to vote that's the only way to take their country back, while they're on the street protesting, jihadist are being positioned strategically in high places, you want your country back? Vote out weak leaders.

R.I.P Ricky Hatton

Money is not everything

My brother-in-law swore after the Mayweather fight that Ricky has started having depression, that he saw it in his eyes the next day. I have since wondered if just that loss sent Ricky into a spiral.

No be that fight. Na the loss to Manny Pacquiao some years later make am slide into depression.

That Pacquiao fight was suppose to be his redemption and resurgence, and I recall he recruited Floyd's father to train him for the fight but he was knocked out unconscious by Pacquiao in the early rounds.

Mayweather Snr criticized him after the fight for abandoning their game plan, and reverting to his normal direct all-action fight style.

In a later interview, he confessed the Pacquiao loss made him entertain thoughts of kpai-ing himself.

RIP Ricky Hatton.

I see

His mentality must have been beaten already for him to see Pacquiao fight as a redemption meaning he was already in a sunken place

But I don't know how losing a fight and getting paid tens of millions in the process will send someone into this kind of depression

Just like George Foreman after losing to Ali, baba started collapsing mentally then ultimately the Jimmy Young loss finally broke him

Abi you think Wilder is going through this kind of depression now from his losses to Fury and Zhang. Life no serious like that oh

After the Mayweather loss, he won his next few fights leading up to the Pacquiao bout so I can't speak to his mentality.

I think his promoter was influential, and was able to line him up quickly for the Pacquiao fight, but the brutal way he lost that fight ended his boxing career and made him suicidal.

But I don't know how losing a fight and getting paid tens of millions in the process will send someone into this kind of depression
Bro, at that level it:s not all about money. Pride, legacy, and public perception join too. How does a fighter overcome the fact that the whole world watched him being ko-ed unconscious in the sport he dedicated his whole life to? At that point, depression go enter na. undecided

Have no idea if he's curreently battling depression but Wilder was never a good boxer. His boxing fundamentals, IQ and movement were poor. There were some fights he was being outboxed and losing until he landed that lucky punch. Luis Ortiz for example. It was only a matter of time before his luck ran out. The Fury loss was Wilder's unravelling but ultimately I think it was the Joseph Parker loss that crushed his spirit Anyways, Francis Ngannou has called him out and challenged him to a boxing bout. I think that fight is sellable, aka Battle of the Heavy Hitters; Wilder vs Ngannou. It'd be a good one if the Saudi Prince can put up the money to bankroll the fight.

Sometimes I don't really understand this uber rich people...... Why would the Saudi prince want to bankroll a fight that'll set him back hundreds of millions in usd.

He is not a prince and the money being used for these events is Saudi government money.

The aim is to launder the image of Saudi Arabia.

Despite a mid season lyles came 3rd. Not bad, ajayi finished in 6th. Jamaica have a new generation ready to go. Always amazes me how the tiny island of Jamaica continually puts out the fastest people in the world.

When asked about the player, the Croatian said: “Lookman won’t be with us. It’s a truly unpleasant situation. After a meeting with him, I feel we need other things – spirit, fight, humility, work, guys who have to feel the shirt well. Our guys have to do that. I don’t want anything else.”

Speaking further, Juric clarified: “I want a different human level, a different sense of belonging. I have a good relationship with him, but I don’t have to ask him. Damn, we’re Atalanta, I don’t have to beg him. He needs strong, human values.”

I am unsure who is advising Lookman but he needs to move on from what happened in the summer. If anything it should serve as motivation for him to work harder.

He needs game time to even convince clubs in January to push harder for him. He looked rusty against SA and may be in worse shape if he doesn’t reintegrate into Atalanta before January.

My position doesn’t mean I am indifferent to his plight but it is time to move on. Those are strong comments from his coach and while I don’t think everything is true, it is what the world now sees.

I don't even see the sense in trying to force a club to sell you.

You signed a contract. Finish it and move on. No club is obligated to sell you because you have suitors. If they don't want to, play out your contract and leave honorably.
