I don't know why there's unnecessary dichotomy and discrimination in our educational sector. Everyone should get what is due to them at the right time.

Always follow the right path to get whatever you want in life.

NOUN is not a proper school for many professional courses.

You can't use "shortcut" to get what others got through the proper channel.
So, whose fault is it?
The students who applied and was given admission to study it,or the school authority/FG who advertised for the program in their curriculum and admitted students into it?

Very true, they suspended admissions into their LL.B course about 3 or 4yrs ago.
But it shouldn't have affected those who have already graduated from it before the suspension.
The report said some of them graduated about 5 years ago.So the suspension of 3 yrs ago should not have affected those ones nah.Habbah!!!

They don't even need to subject graduates to another exam. That will amount to prejudice, discrimination ,and will be a reference point to the quality of graduates of the school.

What needs to be done is to either scrap the programme or make a periodic review to ensure standard is met.

These things are easy. If the programme must become slightly more rigorous, then so be it. It's a total waste of precious time to study law and not be able to practice.
The programme has already been halted at the National Open University, but thousands graduated from the program and have not been able to enter law school because the school itself refuse to negotiate properly on their students' behalf.

I have a friend who did the same course in Nigeria and had to drop out, that's how I know all about it. The way things are done in Nigeria, sometimes you think you're in a comedy show.

Imagine 2 federal bodies, one preventing the other access, despite being a recognized tertiary institution, the largest in Nigeria for that matter.

This is quite unfortunate, disgraceful and very annoying. I know Jagaban will enforce it that they may be included. Why did you give them room to study law with their hard earned money and deprive them from going to law school? Wickedness is same as witchcraft 🙄

Am shocked after so many years this nonsense is still going on.
Then they should scrap Law from the National Ope University.

Yea, it's the same challenges that occurred when universities refused to admit students with NECO certificates.
Mention one University in Nigeria that refused to accept NECO candidates. There are lawyers in Nigeria waiting to pick up cases like this with high morale.

In other words, the 700 noun law graduates who have been called to Bar should return their call-to-Bar certificates to CLE and BOB because “YOU” said noun cannot produce lawyers?
