Why are you lecturing me on this ? You are suposed to lecture the original asker not me. I never have issues with uploading photo and will never.

Many applicants do not even know how to download on playstore not to talk of following any app instructions. I gave the OP the most straightforward answer in the case of emergency.

Please, can anybody help tell me what is the current available date for F2 dependent visas?

I know earlier dates in 2025 reopened at some point, but I don't know if we are still in 2025 or way into 2026. Someone who just applied, please help!!!

Thank you in advance.

F2 dependent visa does not have any special or different appointment calender. Any date that is available to all F1 visa applicants presently is what will be available to all F2 visa applicants (including you).

How did you know the earlier 2025 dates that was reopened ? I think you should rely on the same source. Otherwise, keep following this page for newly available dates.

NB: You can keep navigating your reschedule option if you have access to your avits. 👍

Hi.
If answers are not forthcoming then I will recommend Google.

Many schools people will recommend might have changed admission policies, criteria, etc . The best way to acquire updated admission and funding information is to email the school Graduate Admissions office directly. Keep sending mails to schools one after the other. 👍

Efetobore1980:
The information you heard is not true. You can apply from any country especially as an F1 visa applicant. The only thing is that you must proof a kind of tie to such country or absolute reasonable reason which prompted you to opt for such 3rd nation. 👍
But we know we apply from other country cause naija is filled up. So how will people now prove tie to that other country when my place of residence and work is Nigeria? Is getting a residence in that country for a few weeks enough evidence? Or say a sibling is there? Does that work too?

People that cannot prove tie should remain in their country, its not a do or die otherwise such applicant is heading for visa denial.

Regarding your other questions, getting a residence for a few weeks or even months is not enough for you to proof a tie in a 3rd nation. But having a relative living there, spouse , office, church or mosque affiliate etc in which you can use or have been using their addresses as your mailing address or 2nd home can be regarded as a kind of tie.

Despite the tie proving policies, the U.S embassy or the U.S government always hold international students with high esteem. Ipso facto, prospective F1 visa applicants can look for a date in a 3rd nation in order to meet up with school resumption if there is no visa appointment dates in their countries or if there is political unrest in their community eg (Ukraine, Russia , Istreal, Niger etc). 👍

An F2 dependent was able to select Oct. 15, 2025 for her VISA interview, but her kids are yet to get date. She tried to select the same dates, but unable to. Now, dates are mostly in Oct-Nov 2026.

Will she enter the interview area with her kids (since they will not be interviewed anyway)?

If the ViSA is approved, and kids are still yet to get date during the 3-month validity period, does it have any bad implication?

Are there more things expected in this case?

PS:
Her husband already in US since February and 3months Validlity is not applicable to him.

Thanks

If those kids (children) are above age 14 i doubt the possibility of allowing them to interview with the F2 - mother prior to the children's original dates.

**
If they are sucking babies or minors between age 0 to 6 and are absolutely dependant on their mother for their daily well-being, then, the possibility of considering them to interview with the F2- mother is higher.

The F2- mother should go with the kids, a relative and their documents, and if the kids are not allow in they should hang with the relative. However, the mother should go in with the kids documents and narrate the situation to the consular. Some consular might ask you go and fetch the kids in while some will place you on 221g in order to bring them back on another day or upload their documents to the embassy.

**
If none of the above happened then the F2- mother (3-months) visa won't affect anything on the kids application. I still believe that F1-visa must be flexible in terms or renewal , entry , etc regardless of how many days or weeks or months or year that is being issued.

As a quick stunt, let the F2 - mother apply for Emergency request for the kids by attaching her appointment letter , perhaps, the embassy might open dates for the kids which will align with the mother's date.

NB. Children under age 14 are exempted from verbal interviews but they must appear physically, or via drop box, or by email and that should be only on their appointment day. 👍

I personally can’t say for sure, since I’m also hoping to find a date soon in LAGOS.

But someone shared a tip with me: try checking daily, especially in the mornings (around 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) and also at midnight.

It might also work for Abuja, so fingers crossed 🤞

Go with the kids on your interview date, take along their documents. On your DS-160 you declare travelling with your children anyways, they only need to be physically present, no interviews if they are minor. Children under the age of 14 would be allowed in, unless the situation in Nigeria has changed.

If this is still available I don't mind the link too, thanks.

But this wrong, even though children under age 14 are exempted from verbal interview.
You must schedule an appointment for your child through the official visa scheduling website for the U.S. embassy or consulate in your country. This is a mandatory step for all applicants, regardless of age or interview requirements.

Read very well before you criticise. I welcome constructive correction from reliable sources but not deliberate criticism to show off.

Below is the last part of my answer .

👆 I asked the op to try and align the kids appointment with hers via emergency request.

Efe

👆 I specifically wrote above that they must appear on their appointment days only while other options i gave are probability that can happen and has happened before.

So tell us where did i go wrong ? Go back and read the questions, the asker have different appointments for the kids, she did not tell us that she doesn't have appointment at all. Your correction is just a repetition of part of my guidelines.

Hello house,
I deferred my admission to fall 2026, I was advised by the course representative to defer to fall 2026 in order to to increase my chances of retaining my funding . My MRV expires in April 2026, when can I possibly be on the look out for dates taking into consideration the visa validity thing and when I can enter the US for the resumption in August.
