Compare this sound judgement with the judges that have started giving Emefiele back his loot on unbelievable mathematics.

If this was Nigeria, the judge, despite knowing the Shani sounds middle belt, the cousin is Igbo and the son is Yoruba, would allow this case to fly, exactly like that!!

As for Ozekhome, I have always known he was a criminal and all his pro democracy balderdash was for show. Oya now, go and enjoy your house in London you serial pretender.

Useni's family themselves will struggle to take ownership of that property as it was clearly proceeds from corruption.

That was why he had the underhand agreement with Ozekhome to give it to the latter as he knew he'd struggle to prove he bought it with legal proceeds from his career as a military officer.

You sabi!! Many gaulible ones here are busy hailing the British judiciary for a job well done not knowing it's an attempt to seize that property which would be a loss to Nigeria.

The UK will seize the property eventually, just like they did Ibori's proceeds of crime.

Bailiwick Express reported that the Royal Court of Jersey seized the funds kept in four accounts at the Standard Chartered Bank over a period of 15 years begining in 1986 when the old soldier first opened an account in the name of “Tim Shani.”

It has since turned out Tim Shani is a fake name the former minister used in concealing his loot.

Mr Useni, 79, was a Lieutenant General in the Nigerian Army and close ally of late kleptocrat Sani Abacha under whom he served as Minister for the Federal Capital Territory. He later represented Plateau South in the Nigerian Senate between 2015 and 2019.

In 2006, a probe by the Office of the National Security Adviser under President Olusegun Obasanjo indicted Mr Useni. The probe report exclusively obtained by PREMIUM TIMES said Mr Useni acquired real estate, hospitality, petrol service, and farm assets from illicit sources.

Two of the assets identified in the probe report – Tim Tali Motels, Langtang, and Tim Tali Farms, Gwagwalada – have names similar to the fictitious name he used in Jersey.

In 2001, the Standard Chartered Bank in Jersey wrote Mr Useni – who was then known to the bank as “Tim Shani” – that newly enacted stricter anti-money regulations required him to submit a certifified copy of his passport

Meanwhile, the family possibly didn't know about this property. Now, I believe they will act promptly to document possession. What an unexpected blessing from questionable proceeds. Ozekhome and co should consider themselves lucky that they aren't facing any real penalty for misleading the courts through obviously false information.
