Its really painful loosing a child, I pray God grant them strength in this trying time..... By the way no information about any underlying sickness prior, or anything? if not then such death need to be thoroughly investigated.

A useless deadbeat that was never responsible for the girl only popped in to take her for holiday and went on to vow to the mother that she will never set eyes on her daughter again. He should come back and explain what exactly happened to the girl

He is not on the run, his family brought a lawyer to the station. It seems you don't know Nigerian police, anything that makes him steps foot inside that station the police will arrest him and it will be hard for him to prove his innocence from inside cell. I guess his family advised him not to go the police station with the lawyer.

What will the man say if the child passed away while in your care? It's best to grieve and continue with your life. We both understand that the father didn't cause the child's death; something else did.

Why leave a girl child with her father That was huge mistake.

Problem with most single mothers. Why don't you go and drop her there yourself and also go there and bring her back. You send a child of 13yrs all the way to dalta to holiday with her dad. Was the dad married or still single if we may ask.

I can understand her pain and she has a right to feel terrible.

But why did the man not reach out to her when the girl fell ill.

The right thing to do would have been to inform the mom the moment the girl got severely ill. That is a top priority, she is the mom, she is the most important person to contact first.

How can anyone sideline a mother to the extent that she wasn’t even aware of her daughters burial as well? Is she a visitor or something in the girl’s life? It is right for her to be suspicious then. She did not even get to see the body.

She needs to contact human rights services and police and whatever security agency can help her. R.I.P to the girl and I hope her mom gets justice.

It is possible that she was not reachable when the girl fell ill, but she's not likely to disclose this fact because she wants to whip up sentiments against the girl's father

a Lady I know once killed her own child herself years back in ilorin here. Funny enoug I stay with same lady week back the baby was only crying for food thought-out the night even though a guy was with us also in the room. The lady and the guy with us that night happen to be her boyfriend, the guy was pick up too. The child was 8yrs, there was blood in her mouth, nose and ears, the lady lie that the child fall inside water overnight in the room. So don't assume the father use his child.
