AD didn't exist immediately Tinubu left. You can't lie to me. It was later the party collapsed when nobody could longer carry it up.
More so it is a false narratives to think that changing from one political name to another all in the name of merger is not the same like those who have decamed. Because I can still argue that why didn't other political parties decamped to AD then rather than you collapsing your party to form a new one with others. So you are not different from those moving into a new party. It's same thing in a different way.

SDP and NRC were defunct by the coup of General Sani Abacha in 1993. They cease to exist. The SDP you have today is not thesame SDP in 1993. In the 4th republic (from 1999) a new set of political parties were registered. Some people taught to register themselves as SDP and so they did. The yorubas thought they want to use Awolowo's party but in order not to erase history they adopted AD instead of AG.

AD is still existing today but since President Obasanjo and Maurice Iwu were bent on making PDP the only party in Nigeria. Tinubu the last AD governor standing asked for a merger of parties but a handful of AD members wanted to remain in AD. So majority of AD members moved on to form AC. AC then evolved into ACN (AC is no longer registered). ACN latter merged with CPC to form APC (ACN and CPC no longer exist).

In a nutshell, he (Tinupo) was among the majority that moved from AD to AC. Why can't he do his best to strengthen AD, Is that a one party man?

Your attempt to sound intellectually superior fell flat the moment you distorted facts to suit your narrative. Yes, SDP was proscribed by the military during the Abacha era, we all know that. But under this democratic dispensation, since 1999, SDP has been a legally registered and existing political party in Nigeria. That’s just verifiable fact, not revisionist history.

As for AD, Tinubu didn’t form AD, he ran under its platform in 1999, then decamped when it no longer served his ambition. AD still exists today as a registered party.

Now to your AC, ACN, APC history, sure, we all watched that merger happen. But let's stop pretending Tinubu "built a party from scratch." He jumped ships, hijacked structures, and brokered alliances that’s not building from scratch; that's political maneuvering, to serve his personal ambition of snatch it, grab it and run with it

And as for this "Messiah", I have none. I’m not idolizing anyone. But if your messiah is a man embroiled in idéntity scandals, certificáte fórgéry, and d.r.u.g traffickiñg allegations, that’s on you. You are addressing an ethnocentric and myopic individual working his usual angle of ethnic messiah worship for a way below average charlatan in the form of Obi.

As if this issue, for knowledgeable and truthful Nigerians, can lend itself to redundant pedantism and whataboutism those lot shamelessly revel in.

Fact, for honest Nigerians, is that names of political Parties associated with political leaders does not even reveal 1% of the picture.

It is about the role and status, in those Parties, of politicians.

Obi destroyed APGA with his bigotry, divisive antics and hideous lack of leadership talent. This was a Party he was meant to be the father and leader of, to take to greater heights, after gaining it from Ojukwu.

Like an unworthy prince would destroy a Kingdom he is not fit to lead, if he becomes King, Obi took APGA backwards horrendouslyand steeped the Party in ethno-religious bigotry and scaremongering against 'outsiders, "Yoruba Party" etal.

He then fled to PDP, a Party titans built in ways he could not do with his local champion lack of leadership talent, to go and seek personal ambition.

Cowardly, he fled PDP rather than face his Fulani overlords during the 2022 Presidential primaries of the Paryt. In Labour Party, it has been one crisis after another festering destructively because of Obi's weak, divisive and incompetent leadership. Today, we are not sure whether he is in Labour or desperation of coalition ADC.

Ditto Rhodes-Vivour who does not even deserve much comment here.

Then Tinubu, the ultimate boss of all bosses in Nigerian politics. As lone AC Governer in the SW, in 1999, he led exemplarily well, developed the grassroot strenght of the Party to then single-handedly create the ACN that went on to oust the PDP from the South West by 2013 when APC,with Tinubu a founding father and brains behind the merger, was formed.

ACN, by 2013, had captured almost all States in the SW with five Governors and Oshiomhole to make six. Plus many federal legislators as at time of coalescing into APC.

Important also that Tinubu had succeeded making ACN the official opposition Party tp PDP by 2013 before it merged with others, CPC etal, to form APC.

Per being a powerful founding father of APC, with many bridge-buildind sacrifices and incredible victories he prosecuted for the Party, Tinubu stood his ground, whereas Obi fled PDP, to emerge APC Presisdential candidate and of course President.

There is so much I have left out but it should be obvious Tinubu is too talented and literally thousands of miles ahead of others.

The only people who disgracefully deploy, lies, propaganda, half-truths and outright deception to attemp bringing Tinubu to the mud-infested level of lowly political bed-hoppers, like Obi, are simply displaying their innately dishonest nature and inability to give credit to others.

The image below, since they say pictures speak louder than a thousand word, is a reminder fact of the extraordinary achievemens that defines Tinubu and the rare stratosphere he operates in that the like of Obi cannot get 0.01% close to if they lived 500 years and engaged in politics for 480 of those years.

The writer of this piece is biased. We expected to see the information based on the title but ended up reading mostly how some people jumped parties.
