Gani Fawehinmi didn’t risk his life and legacy to chase clout; he called Tinubu a criminal decades before social media even existed. This isn’t Twitter slander, it’s legal history. I think this case is a conduit pipe for corruption. DSS will use our money to hire a lawyer. They will have a secret arrangement with the lawyer that DSS official will get 60-70% of the legal fees. So on paper, the lawyer gets 100 million naira. But in reality, the lawyet gets 30 million naira while DSS gets 70 million naira.

There is no direct equivalent of the DSS in the US. What the DSS does here is more of a combination of what the FBI do and the Secret Service. A perfect comparison is DSS plus EFCC equals FBI plus Secret Service.
