Some people are asking why hasn't he been apprehended and some are even saying funny things about the victims, forgetting about the unserious security system of Nigeria.

Let me just tell yhu why this guy hasn't been caught yet....

This guy isn't a true registered bolt, indrive or Uber driver. What he does is that, he prey on people waiting for Uber or anyone who has ordered a ride from any of these driving companies.

So, two things are involved here: either this guy has an insider who gives him information about those ordering rides or himself found loopholes on how to get information.

Each time he is reported, all the above companies always deny knowing him.

Nobody ever knows where this guy is from, not even a former neighbour or school mate.

At one time, they claim the man was a police but no one has officially confirmed that yet.

Funny thing is, anytime he is in the news - he goes low, yhu won't hear about him again and no one will complain about him for a while, until everywhere is calm again.

Don't be surprised if this man isn't even a Nigerian.

But whatever and who ever he is, this man should have been caught by now, he has done enough.

In advanced countries they will find a way to bait him with a trained female cop.

It’s easy to know how he gets to pick them up and why the ride companies are denying knowing him.

From the point of request to the end of a trip, record is kept by both ride companies, the driver and the rider. But this only happens if the driver actually picked the passenger and they embarked on the trip. So if the trip is canceled by either party before the trip is started, it is assumed the trip never happened and ride companies won’t address issues regarding rides that didn’t happen.

What this guy does is he accepts the ride request, drives to the pick up point and when the trip is about to start, instead of starting the trip, he cancels it. In the computers of the ride companies, that trip didn’t happen. So if you report the driver, they can’t find evidence that anything connected you to him.

In the same spirit of supporting yahoo boys that their activities are as a result of colonial rule, Nigerians aid and abet this behaviour of drivers canceling trips and embarking on the same trip offline so they can charge the riders themselves and collect the fare without giving the ride companies their commission. I know firsthand that passengers encourage drivers to embark on trips offline with glee knowing that the ‘white people’ won’t get their commission. How then do you expect the ride companies to act on trips that didn’t happen?

This is what that guy is exploiting. If you as a passenger ensures your driver started the trip on the app, no way that driver will misbehave during the trip. The app records both the trip and voice conversations during the trip especially at night. Nigerians like cutting corners and this is the sad result.

I disagree with your assertion here. I'm a former Bolt driver, and won't deny your saying about cancelling trips and going offline especially from passengers. But if you try that twice or thrice often with Bolt, they'll flag you with warning, suspension of some days or weeks.

Again saying he may have been cancelling the trips at the point of picking them, and the app company won't know if the ride happened or not. That one is not true, if he keeps getting rides thru the app, that means he's still a fully registered driver on that e-hailing app, so any complaint about him should have been dealt with by calling for him to come and explain why his name is constantly being reported.
And if he fails to show up, his account will be blocked permanently and no more rides for him.
So it's either this particular guy is a former registered driver in one of the e-hailing rides but no longer anymore, and then using another ways to get his victims.
And let also not write off this girls doing this maybe one gang of friends trying to punish or deal with him for whatever he may have done to one of them.

i almost threw a stone at them because it was obvious what they were

the guy is obviously a seasoned predator. unfortunately our police are incompetent. otherwise they would simply send a woman undercover officer, pose as a passenger and trap him.

also likely he is working in coordination with security guards who will alert him to people waiting for uber

They have been reporting this guy for the past 4 years and nothing has been done. The Nigerian police have definitely given him license to rape any girl he wants

First of, as a former Bolt driver myself I doubt this man will be a fully registered driver on any of the e-hailing apps and after those barrages of complaint and he wouldn't have been caught.
When I was still into the driving, just one single complain from Riders and Bolt will either warn you, ban you from getting rides from some hours or sometimes days.

I hear someone said he may have been getting the rides, but once at the pick up point he cancelled it so the app won't know the ride happened. Let me tell you, if you're used to cancelling trips every now and then, Bolt will suspend you indefinitely and you must get to one of their offices before you can be integrated back. So if he has been going offline while giving rides to his victims before committing the acts he's been accused of, even while the ride didn't take place as most of you claim, but Bolt/Uber knew he was ordered for at the first place so they'll take it from there.

What most of you guys don't know, as far as you're a registered driver of any of the e-hailing rides, your total information is fully with them. Once you're online, they know exactly the spot your car is. So if truly this guy has been doing what they say he's doing, and he's a fully registered driver. They would have caught him since.

So my conclusion is this: It's either this guy is using another means to get this his alleged victims, or those girls are gangs of friends who are hell bent to get back at him for what he may have done to one of them.
But saying he's a registered e-hailing driver and still haven't been caught, I doubt that.

Please report him to the nearest police station. Go with the news and pictures of all the allegations made against him. Do it discreetly, let the police know you prefer to be anonymous.

Please do this and save his next victim.

What is that supposed to mean? Did she commit any crime by being a neighbour to a criminal just as you could be a neighbour to one? The maximum the police can do is seek her help and cooperation in giving details that could lead to his capture and arrest.
