While on the subject of getting away with it

The investigation cleared Paul Adefarasin of wrongdoing

“Findings revealed that the object seen in the viral footage was not a firearm but a stun gun, a non-lethal device.

The bolded part is what I told some people many years ago, but they opposed it. Their argument was that Nigeria is different from other African countries. I then asked them, “What would you do if Abacha were still ruling today?” but they had no tangible response. If not for his death, Abacha would have ruled this nation for over 20 years or more, unless a coup removed him from the throne, or death, as the case may be.
I know many people will still not agree with the post simply because you were in Nigeria. But if you had been born in Cameroon, what would you have done?

Let me help you answer the question:
ABSOLUTE NOTHING!!!
The difference is Nigerians took out Abacha by any means necessary bro while Cameroonians and the other African counfires masturbated in tears, Nigeria is different no allow anyone whine you, Obj 3rd term agenda failed multiple coup attempts have failed and have been swept under the carpet no allow anybody whine you. The only issue we have is we are not willing to die for anybody in the name of any useless protest but we have a very strong 'this too shall pass' belief and if e no gree pass dem go help am pass

You get egbon!!! The only bad thing is we as a people have the ability to adjust to any situation and that's not always a good thing but as far as lifetime leadership is concerned? We no dey for that one. If we were like other African Countries then Mohammed Abacha would still be ruling us, when he finishes Jamal Abacha will continue etc etc

Funny thing is when the police reacted to the initial story they claimed stun gun is a weapon which is prohibited/illegal. Now they are saying it is non lethal device.

They can't even be consistent all in a bid to sweep the whole thing under carpet. Anyways it's not like we were expecting anything diffrent Sha.

something definitely happened - especially when you consider the person sworn in after abacha died immediately pushed for elections rather than chasing power or interim govt

The same Nigerians protested for MKO to be made president after winning an election, Thousands were gunned down, MKO was thrown in prison for 4yrs , another thousands were killed or fled for their lives

If any leader, has control of the military that does most of the job. Next is supress the media

so how many other African counties did this happen? how may other african countries has there been any massive protest against an incumbent leader?

did a scrappy APC not take on a super powered PDP at the height of their powers and skulduggery in 2015?

Abacha was reported to be sick before his death, There were reports and pictures of him when he was receiving some foreign leaders (I think Yasser Arafat) a few days to his death and he looked sick. All those Indian prostitutes or eating apple(whether real or symbolic apple) seemed made up, some claimed he OD on Viagra while nacking Indian OS

Abdulsalam was not interested in power like Abacha

Which Nigerians are you talking about?
Who and Who?
Do Nigerians have stronger heads than Russians? God really did it for us not any man or any strategy. Like I said earlier, if Abacha hadn’t died, he would have ruled for as long as he wanted, and there’s nothing you or I could have done about it. We should all thank God it ended the way it did.

There was a time we used to swear that no Nigerian will ever be a terrorist nor suicide bomber until it happened

After Abacha died, it was Al Mustapha his CSO that knew about it and he decided who to give, He didn't trust Useni who was a Lt Gen and most senior. He gave it to Abulsalam a Major General

Mohammed Abacha was not really interested he was more into enjoyment

Go and read from the horses mouth my brother, Al-Mustapha did not 'give' Abdulsalam anything he wanted Useni but Bamaiyi wanted power for himself, Bamaiyi according to Al-Mustapha claimed that since Useni was the last man to see Abacha then he suspects foulplay, na Maradona wey travel come Aso Rock and the meeting with Generals wey produce Abdulsalam o, infact was it not the same Abdulsalam that threw him in jail in October of that same 1998 grin
