This concept ain't new...
I have seen and used one many many years ago.
That one is hung on the ear like a hearing device, and it sounds an alarm once it detects that your head is dropping down (as in when one is dozing off)...

But I think this one is better in the sense that one can doze off without the heading necessarily dropping off immediately... It takes few seconds with a shut eye for an accident to happen anyway.

Kudos to this innovator... I hope he improves on it by reducing the size of that blue detector, and upscaling to push it out into the market.

Let him be invited by FRSC, transport companies, and private organisations to secure it for their fleet drivers....

What an innovative creativity?
If not that our Politicians are witches and wizards dining with Beelzebub and Lucifer at the peak of the Lunar Equinox and blood moon,this and many other talented Nigerians who invented great tools should have been the centre of global attention.
Government would have stepped in to encourage the inventions through various means especially financially and push the birth of industries from these inventions, which would accelerate Nigeria's industrialization drive,boost the economy of attract foreign investors in technology.
Unfortunately we have witches and wizards as Politicians who would rather truncate these promising industries yet to be born.

Indeed, there are low-budget to advanced variations of this anti-sleep glasses and other portable anti-sleep devices in existence for some years now. I was hoping to hear him speak with CLARITY on whether he has a science and innovator background BUT there was no very audible sound in the video although I could deduce he spoke in Hausa.

If the guy wise, he should file for patent that is if it hadn't been patented already.

Congratulations to him. It's not easy to build some of these diy projects it requires some level of dedication.
However it's not an invention but a good thing to bring about safety and awareness.

I read this, Googled it and I got on YouTube. Just 1 click. Yet, people here are still commenting here about government investing over and over again.

I grew up in a time where you had to buy novels, encyclopedia, Guinness book of world records and visit libraries for exposure to what the world is doing.

Now, with the internet, you can transverse the world and beyond with one click. Yet, these youths don't do the click.

A personal goal of 1 hour/day of "Getting myself exposed to the world's wonders" is enough. I wonder what the youths spend their time doing on their phones all day.

When I read comments here, I say a word of prayer for this not to be a true reflection of how the Nigerian youths think.

This is a good innovation and i hope it will be updated upon in future especially for those that uses recommended eye glasses. It will help individuals with different eye problem to be able to use it practically. I test drove a Chinese branded car about a week ago that has this anxiety device which monitors driver's different behaviours while driving and could immediately alert the driver of impending danger ahead by sounding alarm. The device is very practical and very useful. Picture attached below.

On a serious note, anti-sleep glasses isn't what we need now but to revamp our dilapidated roads, enforce traffic rules/regulations, combat drink-driving and overspeeding on our roads.
