Prices of basic essentials have changed dramatically, so he is stating the obvious. Those who are trying to make it look like this is not the case are obviously the politically jaundiced ..

The government is squeezing the last drop of blood from average Nigerians across regions through all sorts of tarrifs/tax increases, and that is effecting the living standards very seriously in a negative way..

But I have a feeling that folks would start to push back when some of these Tilimgbus draconian/hein-ous tax policies start to kick in next year. They are basically trying to find some inventive ways to tax bank deposits while claiming they are using the banks to tax profits! Lol .

I mean, as a bank manager, how do you determine my profits from my business transactions through just my account balance!? So once there's an alert, the bank will collect 5 abi 10%

Most tertiary institutions in the country have hiked their fees by over 150 %, putting serious strains on the finances of parents and guardians who also have to contend with the poor state of the economy which has reduced purchasing power and savings.

Checks by Vanguard Learning in public universities across the country show that the increment in obligatory fees, which started late last year is continuing, as a new session starts in some schools this January.

Only on January 6, this year, for instance, the Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA, Ondo State came out with a proposal to hike fees by over 100%.
