Does this high rise building has smoke detectors,fire extinguishers & fire safety officers? Where the victims locked up in their offices why d small fries escaped?
Do the occupants undergo periodic fire drills for emergency preparedness?
Could they not have heard d alarm if any & escaped through d staircase?
We need answers.

Common R.I.P you no fit write. You are concerned about how their next of 'king' will never be poor because of compensation.

Proper training is very important in any work environment. unfortunately, a lot of agencies does not take fire training very serious.

Most of this people died not because of burnt from the fire but because of the toxic smoke inhalation, excessive heat and oxygen deficiency.

Your first approach to such situation as a trained person is isolate your space to minimize smoke entry, seal all holes using wet clothes.

stay as low to the floor as possible as every heat and smoke will be at the top due to density of hot air and gas being lower than that of cold air and oxygen.

always have a respirator inside your drawer in a building like that. you may never use it but it is not expensive to buy one and keep for decoration.

Every inverter room should have smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. The batteries especially can easily catch fire. The same happened in my compound, but we were able to take the batteries out of the room, and it blew up outside with some damage, but it did not reach the gas cylinder inside.

You read the part of blame, where I used the word failed, but ignored the part where I stated the reason for the blame.
If it happened in UK or USA, will fire fighters not come around for hours?
Last year forest fire here in Arizona, fire fighters were even deplored to forest were no human lives to put off fire, but in Nigeria, burning lasted for more than two hours before a single fire fighter arrived.

Firstly, in an emergency situation like that,get a good source of light, that move will standing, you will be suffocated.
2ndly,move far away from the source of danger and seek for help.
Thirdly, ensure that you locate where the emergency exit is located, mostly in high rise buildings 👷‍♂️.
If help is hard to come by,get a very think clothing(preferably a blanket) and soak with water, cover yourself with it, get a piece of hankerchief or face mask to reduce smoke inhalation.
I believe they died of asphyxiation + 1° or 2nd° burns(@18+% skin burns) ,if they are touched by the fire 🔥.

There is a special 3.0V battery for smoke alarm. It lasts long enough that technician dont need to link the detector to mains.
