No mind d guy jare, so if I have 6m I want to multiply na investment of 20% yearly I go put am?
When poor mindset they think u go know.
All those 10% , 20% yearly investments are for people who have serious inheritance and real wealth that keeps pouring in monthly.
Not we that life is leading us 3-0 from birth already.
Even if it's to buy car, park it and use 6 months to sell it, its better than going to put money in 20% yearly investment.
Stop sounding dumb I only listed safe investments without risk. There are many investments opportunities that have less wahala than this uber business. If you care to know you can book consultation.

You said this business gives 60% ROI per year but did you factor in the cost of maintenance and other expenses? I wish there was a thread where investors can share their personal experiences in this wahala business so others can learn. Drivers will only paint good pictures on the business because they know they are the big benefactors in it.

Trust me, there are no safe investment anywhere, no investment can guarantee you 100% return. All this 100% ROI they guarantee people is just a form to get people to invest in their company, no company cannot face liquidation, it's just a matter of a bad decision and the company can collapse, another is government, they can decide to unlicense the company's operation.

Just as many investment have their own risk, so does uber.

Transportation gives you passive income and you can't compare it to long term investment where you have to wait for your money to grow like a tree, while some trees grow but do not produce fruits...

pilots, pls can we talk about this PIT reform that will be implemented in January, how is it going to affect us, are we going to be taxed when our income isn't fixed and how are we going to declare our profit from expenses to the government since both our fuel expenses, commission and gain passes through same account.

To be honest, this PIT reform is really confusing and i need more enlightenment.

Personally, i pay WHT of 25k every month, do i still need to pay PIT again on other source of income?

But why is map always directing people to the coastal highways?
And obviously using it to determine the price of the ride?

Do they have a separate or special price that is different from regular mechanized vehicles?

Did you take into account the lead time for charging the battery and the total distance it can cover?

Do you really understand the purpose of EVs? They are not meant to be a cheaper option to engine vehicles but a cleaner and eco friendly alternative.

Are you also aware that EVs have suspension parts just like regular mechanized vehicles?

Are ride hailing companies pushing drivers to switch to EVs?

In my view, the main problem lies with the ride hailing companies and their modus operandi, not the type of vehicle being used.

That is just my humble opinion.

Like bruv!

My own is their wickedness to block a MANS means of income.

Like they already have the indrive type of “fastest fingers”, where you’d see “ride accepted by another driver”

So why take away a man’s income just like that?

I remember 2 years ago when they blocked me for 1 full year after the 7 days ban.

Like 1 year?

I emailed and emailed, tweeted, but they were so cold. Honestly it is God, my Jesus that found my dirty vaselinecrew self worthy to get another gig then, even though it was temporary, but it paid well and took me out of depression.

I still don’t get it, like, even if it is 10k a day I do, don’t they still collect their 30%?

So if not wickedness, why block me for 1 year? It’s not a business savvy move, cause I was still producing money for the app.

I came to the conclusion that they are just terribly wicked.

They have this god complex in Africa it seems, and they seem to revel in schadenfreude, watching the collapse of drivers income at the snap of their fingers.

FYI, I didn’t used to do offline (tried once or twice and my conscience kicked in), I used to have mints in my car (variety; tom-tom, Vicks, mentos… in the middle armrest cupholder), I had a dashcam for safety… in short I used to be so professional.

Then I woke up one day and I was banned for 1 year and one of the last few requests was a ride in Banana island while I was at ShopRite VI and the destination was ShopRite VI.

I used to screenshot all my requests, and report each one that was an error due to long pickups and wrong routes, post them to customer service.

Even with all that, they still enforced the year ban.

Like so if all I had was Bolt, they would feel so happy taking away my income for a year in such a cavalier manner?

Bro EVs are the cheapest to run of all cars right now. Maybe besides hydrogen, but not sure.

The only problem with EVs is high price barrier to entry and maybe battery lifespan.

As far as cost to run, bruv don’t even go near EVs. DONT!

Ex, while in traffic, your ICE constantly spraying petrol through the injectors, while an EV in traffic consumes almost ZERO battery power, with electronics and maybe AC being the only power consumers at the time.

Secondly, you don’t have to change engine oils, engine filters, spark plugs, injectors, plugs…

Then electricity is cheaper than petrol. Petrol per liter is N900, while 1kwh cost N200. A typical Corolla might go about 8km per it 1 liter of fuel on average, while an EV might go about 6 km per kWh.

Lastly, if you ever made a huge investment in Solar panels, then you can get free passive charging once in a while.

Chief, you're so funny, like very funny.

In your mind, you think i don't know that EVs have platforms and parts just like normal gasoline vehicles.

Anyway,i feel you should have asked why i said EVs is taking over Ehailing, Ehailing isn't limited to Uber, bolt and indrive. there are other Ehailing companies that owns vehicle and solely deals in Evs, this companies will eventually phase out uber, bolt & indrive.

Why do i think so?
Cusumer preference; take for a case study, uber driver with corolla charges you 80k for full day while this other ehailing company with EVs charges you 100k for a day. Which would you prefer?

Hi chief,

I asked about five questions and I am not sure you answered any.

My points on EVs are focused on the benefits for the ride hailing business, not a general comparison with regular mechanized vehicles.

The cheapest EVs cost around $13,000 to $15,000, which is about 23 million naira. These types of EVs offer a range of only about 150 to 170 miles on a full charge, which is less than the average distance covered daily in this business. On top of that, charging these cars fully takes around 6 to 12 hours with a 240V home charger.

I am not in any position to tell anyone how to spend their money, but why would anyone put down 23 million on a car for ride hailing when, as you guys said, the fares are already ridiculous?

Would it not make more sense to buy a cheaper car and recover your money faster, especially since these ride hailing apps do not separate or value cars differently?

I am just speaking from a business point of view, but maybe someone who actually drives an EV and has also driven regular cars can share better insight.

And who told you EVs are taking over the ride hailing platforms? Where exactly did you get your data from?

If you are talking about companies that rent out cars to drivers and charge them daily for full day use, then I think you are the funny one. The last time I checked, prices on these platforms are based on car type (sedans or SUVs) and the year of the vehicle, not whether the car is an EV or not.

What real benefit does an EV bring to the passenger? Do you think the customer cares if the car is electric? Most people only care about the cost of the ride.

The cheapest EVs look very much like the ones Moove uses on their ride hailing platform. Is that really the type of car you want to bring into this business?

Have you seen the recent cars being used by lagride and cabzero and the likes? If these companies are offering fair and affordable rides despite their EVs, in the nearest future, tell me how people won't prefer them to uber drivers that might not use AC with their old cars.

This companies are gradually investing big in this EVs and once they are much and everywhere, people will prefer them to corolla and big daddy, it's just a matter of time and soon they will accept cars from individuals that can meet their standards.

170miles is approximately 272km, are you kidding? Many EVs covers at least 400km on full charge and some covers upto 500km on full charge and average km covers a day by uber driver is 250km to 300km which is more than enough for a whole day.

Yes, it makes sense to buy cheaper car to recover both capital and profit on time but what I'm saying is, once this EVs are littered everywhere and offers little or no difference in price with uber, people will rather prefer them to uber due to the car quality.

Easy Chief, I know this can take a toll on one emotionally and psychologically. Indrive and uber will give u some results at the end of the day. U can switch. There are still other ways around Bolts madness if u don't have an alternative.
