I guess the ugly and gruesome incidents of September 11, 2001, Germanwings First Officer lock of the cockpit and Egypt Air First Officer Abatuti deliberate crashing of that flight among many have revolutionalized aviation safety |

Racoon:The last two incidents you mentioned have nothing to do with this. These barriers are to prevent any unauthorised person from accessing the cockpit. It does nothing to prevent a pilot willing to crash the plane. Make Una dey engage Una brain before posting. |

Obviously inspired by our misguided brothers whose spiritual ideology includes brutal killings, raping, kidnappings, hijackings and suicide bombings. It is well with the world. |

Racoon:This is not new, i have been on flights with similar barriers. I don't know when this video was made but I remember been on at least couple of flights where I have seen this while trying to use the restroom. |

Hope the code will be a key combination that can help opened from inside and outside. Such that the other pilot can’t be locked out. And I hope the chief flight attendant also has the combination. |

ajalawole:😂 but they can force them to open it. Then main security is they should not manage to get inside the flight from the airport to up air |

beware , they put up new barriers ahead of plans to increase the pain on the population. Aviation started by treating customers like classy guests, by now aviation is like going to prison in Russian gulag. As the population of the world are slowly migrated from citizens to useless eaters, to depopulation. |

Racoon:9-11, one of the flights, the passengers realized that the planes were being used to attack buildings and rushed the cockpit and attacked the kidnappers. Which is why the plane crashed in a field, as opposed to its target. So that was a good reason to have cockpit area accessible. German Wings air crash, Egypt Air crash and the Malaysian Air crash (you didn't mention that one) should actually be an argument AGAINST cockpit barriers, don't you think so, please? Because all 3 were sui.cide-murders and the killers all locked themselves into their cockpits. The German one, the copilot and crew were banging on the locked doors (if I recall). These new barriers are intended for passengers. I'm sure these incidents of passenger disruption happen more than pilot killing everyone. But have they figured out a way to keep the cockpit door open to crew, should a pilot go crazy? |

d142475:I like this idea. My earlier response to someone else here was about this. He mentioned 9-11, forgetting that one of the flights didn't hit its target because passengers rushed the cockpit. |
