What a stupid lawless policy. In What grounds are the houses being demolished? Did they breach any planning regulations? Secondly even if there's a legal basis for the government to take action against private property (which I doubt) why not seize the properties and use them as public assets? Zero strategic vision

The cultist will repossess the property under a new government. We have seen this script severally in Nigeria. All they need to do is to promise a strong contender in the next election some stolen ballot boxes and violence.

I support the demolition 100%. It sends a strong signal to other "wealthy" cultists that everything they think they possess can be pulled down in minutes.

Edo state already doesn't look developed, why demolishing these few good looking properties? Why not arrest and jail the cultists instead? Talk is cheap. What exactly do you want to convert the house of a cultist to? After the conversion, some other people will start occupying it and he will show up with his men and open fire on all of you and your family members. You should've mentioned what it should be converted to.

If innocent citizen acquires the building in the future, their is risk of been attacked by the cultists ( my thought)

And in general destroying such houses sends a strong message that crime will not be rewarded, while converting them might make crime seem profitable.

Just the way I was against the demolishing of Kabaka's properties. I am also against the demolition of this. You can cut their activities through different means not by destroying properties, it doesn't make sense

Why Not Confiscate The Property And Put it Use ,

Though saying NO criminality in the society is good, but the best way to get about it is confiscating the properties and selling them outright to cooperate organizations and channel the proceeds to projects that will benefit the communities.

Destruction is better in this case. If this government confiscates those property, another government is coming that might sympathize with those criminals and release it back to them.

Such beautiful edifices. Could have been seized and channelled into production activities. Government owned bakery, fish or poultry farm, and skill acquisition centers are not bad ideas at all.
