the other side you are not seeing is the amount of innocent peoples houses that will be demolished because of this rascality. There is a reason why the judiciary is the government agency empowered for such activities. The judiciary would never demolish the house but rather arrest the person or seize the house if need be but executive want to be rascals as usual.

With all the warnings that government have been giving about that, I will send him out of my house or report him to the authorities.

Nigerians don't listen.
I live in England and from here I have been hearing about this for some time a landlord will be housing cult boys and will hear but won't send them out or report them to the authorities then will start crying foul when the government does what they told you they will do.

If a young boy sees that most of the cultists he knows can't are homeless and can't find a house to rent even when they have money, the young boys sees them walking about homeless, do you think he will be encouraged to go into cultism?

This is not just about cultism, this also means that Landlords will have to do due diligence before taking in a tenant,which also means that people will be more careful about how they live because you may be homeless even if you are not a cultist but you act like one.

I know how Government works more than u, Myopic people like u should think twice before airing views about issues. Even if its risky to be converted into residence for poor people, Those facilities can always be converted to government offices, maybe offices for law enforcement or the likes, instead of making new budgets for such infrastructure.

This is stupidity at its peak. The Government at any level cannot seize any property belonging to an individual or corporate body without a valid court order.

The disturbing fact is that the people carrying out this particular infringement are educated people, they have lawyers in their department, they won't ask for legal advice before giving out an instruction. It's looking like we're cursed in this country.

Because they could very easily become seeds for corruption and oppression if seized and re-appropriated. Imagine a growing trend where "cultists" are actively hunted for the sole purpose of confiscating property. In that trend everyone, criminal or innocent, become potential victims of a now corrupt state, so it's best if those properties are destroyed.
