Learn to follow rules and regulations. This is not Nigeria where when people misbehave, our favourite word is abeg 'nor take food from he mouth'.

Rules are rules!
She should leave immediately!!
UK is not like Nigeria.
No sentiment, no tribalism
Except we'd likely have compassion and not deport her till she finishes her education if she pays her schoolfees and delays with appeals.

No more working over stipulated hours for her though, so fees might struggle considering father's demise.

ludacris, how was she able to work 20hrs out of 24hrs and still go to school?.
That's questionable, just saying.

Feel bad for her anyways.

I can only join other Nigerians to pray for her. As someone without a passport, I still don't know how Nigerians are coping in the UK.

The news coming from there always is always disturbing. I was on a space of Nigerians in the UK few days ago and I'm just praying for them... How are they managing paying thousands of pounds for papers all the time.

Sincerely I really wish Nigeria National orientation agency will start speaking up... Many Nigerians are fine living in Nigeria but because of online noise about abroad some will resign from government jobs, abandoned flourishing business only to arrive abroad and start developing high blood pressure over bills.

Just last week i heard a gist of a man who sold two buildings just to travel to the US, he has been booted out now and don't know how to start again... Abroad is good with testimonies but I think its not for everyone.
Look who's talking undecided

It would have been better if she had informed the Home Office she lost her Dad and would like to add extra hours.
It's too late now
They won’t even listen to that excuse. After that they would now focus their monitoring on her.

I don't know ow whether I should feel sorry for her.

Overseas education no be do or die affair. That is the koko.

There are so many underfunded students in rhe UK and elsewhere. If you advise them not to travel, they won't listen.

A year's tuition for their education could easily set up a flourishing business in Nigeria.

The HO can't bend the rule for an isolated circumstance such as hers, that rule governs the conducts of thousands of international students.

Imagine your reason for choosing to stay in Nigeria.
Aren't you part of the problem?

She must have been doing 20 hour plus before her dad died.

My younger sister finished with a first class. My older brother has some really rich friends who could give her a juicy job. She refused. She preferred to travel for her masters.

If she starts suffering now in the UK dye yo lack of funds, she'd start whining.

We are the ones that praise these countries for having working systems but will also be the first to expect them to circumvent their system for our own selfish interests. Now I used "selfish interest" not to be inconsiderate but because that's the appropriate term to use.

First question, did she notify the relevant authorities when her dad passed away? And did she even list her dad as her sponsor initially because if she didn't, his death his meaningless to her stay except she wants to take leave to travel down for his burial.

Secondly, is she doing her 1st degree or Msc because I don't think Msc lasts for 3 years. I may be wrong. If her program is still on, I don't think the UK would have arrived at the decision.

I may be wrong though.
you re intelligent bro.. you brought out so many points. I don’t do sentiments. Her story is not complete. She would ve notified the immigration when he lose the dad. And that if she enlisted her dad as sponsor.

80% of those in UK are in slavery and 50% of those in Canada are living paycheck by paycheck

It's not easy those places

Nigerians are good at telling lies on matters like this so as to curry public sympathy

I watched her video on fb and i sympathised with her, if her explanation is anything to go by then its really sad.

She needs to appeal the decision and given a chance to appear in front of immigration tribunal for a good chance to stay and finish her degree
Well, tho I am not a fan of the abroad society but a law is a law..
Part of wat kpained Nigeria today is infiltration of emotions into the rule of law and it shouldn't be so.

You knew the law before u signed into it, if she's pardoned today then many others who are in hibernation would stand up to also contest the law and would also have a good course thereby advertently rendering the law useless.

Sorry for her loss of father tho.

Not really. When i was in uk i was standing in front of a building entrance wit a can of beer.I went to a party n was abt to leave so i held d can to throw into bin outside d building.Police passed by n gave me a fine of £70 ...this happened in 2013.i hate d corruption in nigeria.Bt i hate d pressure d uk society puts on u.In Naija an average or poor man go still see beer parlour or kpekus frm beautiful students or runs girls to ease him mind.bt u see that uk..d number of people that BP go kii there go plenty o
There laws are tight to protect the vulnerable in their society. Whereas the implementations of our laws are weak hence victimizing the vulnerable. For instance, in order to prevent the exploition of girls someone like you that wants to knack legal age olosho can't get it because of those trying to knack underage and vulnerable girls. Whereas in Nigeria the law is not strictly implemented allowing people like you that wants to knack legal age olosho to do it in peace, whereas some psychos take advantage of the lax implementation and start abusing and even selling under age children into sex.

The question is, should they deny everyone that right. So as to protect vulnerable people or to try and work around so that genuine people will get what they want at the risks of exposing vulnerable people?
