Governor Uzodimma Begins Construction Of 55 New Primary Health Centers by Broveens42(op): 4:02pm On Sep 20, 2025
Imo State Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, has begun the construction of 55 new Primary Health Centers across the state in a bold move to strengthen healthcare delivery and bring medical services closer to rural communities.

The project, which cuts across all local government areas, is part of the administration’s commitment to revamping the health sector and ensuring accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for every Imo citizen.

"We have continued to ensure access to healthcare facilities by imolites, as we embark on another round of health center construction across the State. This move aligns with our resolve to ensure our people enjoy the good health they truly deserve."

Recall that we previously renovated over 305 Primary Health Centers across the 305 political wards in the State, and through ISOPADEC, we extended this to additional localities to enhance accessibility.

With these 55 new Primary Health Centers now underway, we aim to bring healthcare services even closer to our people—and this, we will achieve.

Why is everyone only interested in governors? What are the LGA chairmen doing with their allocations? Why is Tinubu not sending them their allocations directly after the Supreme Court ruling?

What happened to the existing PHCs?
Why are they not being maintained and/or refurbished instead of building new ones?

How many healthcare workers has he recruited huh

I really really really hope this project is real and will succeed.

Whether APC, PDP, LP or Sowore, Nigerians just want to live better lives.

The problem with most of these infrastructure projects is that if the people themselves are not directly transformed in their minds, all the projects will be in vain as its people that have to manage and maintain these projects. . And this is not even counting the corruption.

Local Government? Are even the ones in Lagos that the President controls free to function.

They keep wasting our common wealth. That's how Rochas constructed many hospital buildings in every local government and 95% of those buildings are today criminal hideouts.

When are these people going to start having mercy on the citizens. They are always going with one elephant project after another just to waste our common wealth. When are we going to have leaders with a developmental roadmap that continues from where the other stopped? When?

Governor Otti told Orji Kalu that it was his ABA development template that he is implementing. That's leadership. But most can't follow through what the other did. Everyone of them starts afresh all the time, wasting our common wealth.

Please all these resources you guys are wasting are our commonwealth, it belongs to all of us and do not think it is yours and remember a day of accountability is coming .

Seems you don't follow developments in Imo recently. The difference between hope and Rochas is:
Hope does needs assessment before embarking on any project, while Rochas was building gigantic secondary health care facilities(uncompleted); of course, it was bound to fail because he failed to consider staffing, equipments, accessibility, and timing.

Primary Health centers, close to rural homes, are not white elephant projects.
