The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that he will not be swayed by bl@ckmail or public criticism, stressing that his only concern was pleasing God and to deliver on his mandate as directed by President Bola Tinubu.

While speaking at the flag-off of a road in Mabushi District, Abuja, on Monday, September 22, Wike lashed out at critics whom he accused of attempting to blackmail him into taking actions against his principles.

“So if you like, go and organise yourself, something I know is not correct, if you like, cry from morning till night, call me whatever name you want to call me, put my name on the internet, say anything you want to say—foul.

I am not one of those you will think that blackmail will change me. My skin is so thick, so strong. As a politician, you should know that these are things you will see, so why are you worried? No politician who is a serial politician will think that people will not say something against them. Then go and sleep, go and rest,” the minister declared.

Compared to Atiku, Dr. Beta Edu is a very decent, honest and intelligent public servant. Atiku Abubakar is on record as the most wicked and corrupt person to ever serve in a high profile office in Nigeria. He was indicted by the US Senate and his collaborator, a US Congress member was jailed in the US over the iGate scandal.

You think we’ve forgotten about the privatization scandal, the Sagem scandal, PTDF scandal, IGate scandal, COJA scandal, and several murder allegations in which Atiku’s name featured prominently? If Atiku is a US citizen, he would still be in prison by now.

Apart From in the area of wicked demolition of buildings, Wike has outperformed El-Rufai in all aspects of governance in FCT.

What do you expect from people used to mediocrity. The barest minimum will seem like a lot. They thought Abuja began in 2023. Wike is building bus parks and overhead bridges with so much fanfare and media frenzy but he still hasn't done a quarter of what Elrufai did as Minister and neither will he. A city should be ran like a living thing or it will decay. Abuja is currently dirty with no plans to clean the city. How about public transportation? In shambles. Wike is busy going against the city masterplan by allocating parks and green areas to his families and cronies.

But somehow, your fixation on Peter Obi led you to drag him into a conversation that had absolutely nothing to do with him. That says a lot.
