Nigeria’s GDP Grows By 4.23% In Q2 2025 – NBS by lionshare(op): 6:58pm On Sep 22, 2025
Nigeria’s real Gross Domestic Product grew by 4.23 per cent (year-on-year) in the second quarter of 2025, the National Bureau of Statistics revealed in its Q2 2025 GDP Report.

According to the report released on Monday on its website, the figure shows a significant improvement compared to 3.48 per cent recorded in the second quarter of 2024 and the 3.13 per cent recorded in Q1 2025.

PUNCH Online reports the figures signal a strengthening economy, driven by recent rebasing, rebound in oil production and a resilient non-oil sector.

The report said, “Following the rebasing of the Gross Domestic Product using 2019 as the base year, previous quarterly GDP estimates were benchmarked to the rebased annual estimates to align the old series with the new rebased estimates

Good news about Nigeria is a balm to the heart of patriotic Nigerians. Nigeria will continue grow stronger and better.

Rational Nigerians are begining to see and appreciate the hard work the president is doing that other president in the past could not do.

It's not by talk, but by action, the president has laid solid economic foundation and in 2 years we are already seeing the result.

Our balance of trade is now in positive
Inflation going down
Naira stabilizing against dollar.
Huge infrastructure going on in every parts of the country.
No more Abuja bomb blast, Kaduna rail hijack and no more abduction of huge numbers of students
Highest allocation to the state
External reserves growing from 3b to over 40b dollar
Prices of staple food coming down
Attention is now given to power generation and transmission
IMF loan paid
Total debt is reducing
Student are getting loan to complete tertiary education.
Technical school now revived with payment to the students.

These have never happened in the history of Nigeria before.

A GDP growth in background of worsening hardship, increasing cost of living, worsening reducing power, increased govt borrowing, double-digit inflation, is not in tandem is nothing to write home about

A GDP growth in background of worsening hardship...
Stop lying... Hardship has eased, NOT 'worsened' in the last few months.

The worst period was when the fuel subsidy was ended and naira floated, and inflation sky high.

Many have adjusted from that, and the effects are easing, and prices of essentials are falling.

And the great thing is there is now more money for development as seen in the fact that EVERY STATE IS A CONSTRUCTION SITE NOW.

Where did you get this propaganda

Every Budget bill are shared to all 360 HoR and 109 Senate members and when after it hac been passed and assented to by the president the copy is also shared to each member of Parliaments in soft and hard copy.

This propaganda exposes the carrier as lacking in basic running of the government

This discussion is clearly above your pay grade. Tinubu is currently running 2023, 2024 and 2025 budgets concurrently. This is unprecedented in the history of the country.

Nigeria gdp is a corrupt gdp. Its a gdp that doesn't create jobs or lift people from poverty. When China announces gdp it comes with job creation and poverty alleviation

It is not about his preference, for overwhelming majority of Nigerians, what can their naira buy them in the market to meet their basic needs, NBS generated GDP figures is the least of their worries.

Is it really right to feel sad when their situation is not getting worse but steadily improving? Are you an enemy of progress? It seems you don’t care about the pains of the masses easing; instead, you want it to get worse for whatever reason.

What is steadily improving in the lives of overwhelming majority of Nigerians, cost of living is getting cheaper?

Stop being delusional.
