Based on direct conversations of ISRAELIS with Arab and Egyptian contacts over the past two days, and careful monitoring of Arab media coverage of the UN’s Two-State Solution Conference in New York, one thing is clear: This is not about recognizing a Palestinian state. It is about delegitimizing the ISRAELI state. Arabs celebrating these Western declarations know perfectly well they will not bring peace, improve Palestinian lives, or end the war in Gaza.
