I still have 36 units in my meter, the meter is still blinking as usual but no light in my apartment.

Thought it was an electrical issue and called an electrician who charged me and after about 30 minutes of guess work, concluded I call on AEDC staff. I did and I was told my meter cover was left open and it has triggered tamper Mode and charged me 50k to provide me with a 20-digit code to clear it.

I tell an say I no get that amount make him reduce but the guy no gree o.

Please someone with similar experience should help me out.

How did you resolve it please?
My younger brother has a similar issue with Eko electric. He was told to buy another meter. For now he's bypassing till he gets a new one. It's really terrible

If these computer village relocate to Abule-egba, then the market is gon be one of the biggest market..
uhmm.. Thank you

I think I’ve of Abule-egba, it's a local place and it's not a busy area undecided

Why is Lagos state government relocating computer village from a busy area to local area? Are they tired of making profit?? undecided

You no suppose allow electrician touch your meter. You should have gone to their office and register your complaint or call their customer service to do same. With some patience it would had been sorted. I had same issue last week here in Lagos, I went to their office only to discover they were having a protest and no staff was allowed to enter their office. I tried talking to one of their staff for advice nah so the guy say make I bring 15k him go follow me go house but I go pay him transport. I laughed. I had no choice than to call their customer service . It was resolved under 72hrs. Their staff came, checked and sent me the 20 digits code.

Try visit again, you’ll know it’s a total busy market..

And it’s not Lagos government that relocating them, it’s the computer village stake holders that’s wanting to relocate..

I had issues with tamper code and the ibedc staff got it free. It's meant to be free, except they are billing you for energy theft. Go to their website, or downlaod their app. There is a place where you can lodge complaints. You can go complain on their X( twitter) handle. Better still, go to their office.

Real estate agents and investors around Abule Egba are about to get fat.
Some people are complaining, some are happy about the relocation while some are making strategic plans on how to benefit from this relocation.
Best time to buy land for resale around Abule Egba.

This engagement is very important. Everything no suppose be fight. However, LASG should build a more decent market for them

I cannot believe that Computer Village is running on generators. Whenever you visit there, the cacophonies of noise from generators cannot even allow you make calls and their network is always terrible too.

This is supposed to be a digital market and those things should be sorted.
Some of you talk as if you don't live in Nigeria sha. And where does not run on Generators? Where?

Everywhere is run on Gen in Nigeria as if he get place that has 247 electricity as of now

Don't give them a dime. That tamper mode is common to some set of old prepaid meters especially those given free of charge by the government some few years ago.....there is customer service line by the AEDC in your state, call the line and you will be provided with the a clearance code to get knock off the tamper mode. Tamper mode is not your fault, therefore, you ain't obligated to pay a dime.....at worst go to the Zonal area office of AEDC and complain.......

Thanks so much

Go to their office and complain.
They'll issue you with the reset code for free however they might come to your residence to confirm no bypass. You'll probably tip them

The people I know at computer Village and have been longtime customers of are yorubas who own phone and computer shops and stores there I don't know why u had to show ur tribal bigotry like this is o ly affecting igbos business people.

it's sad u think this way. Really sad what u see it and hope to achieve is bigotry rather than improving a computer market place to something like silicon Valley standards.

Bigotry has consumed ur thinking there is no space for innovation.

You flawed.
When my neutral wire removed from the meter, I could have connected it myself in less than 12s but I quickly called one of the AEDC officer at TrademMoore to fix it. Though I paid him 5K to come to ACO to fix.

If I had opened it , na tamper the meter go read!
Re: LASG Engages Computer Village Stakeholders On Relocation To Katangowa by LordFaraday(m): 10:35pm On Sep 24, 2025
He's not supposed to charge you for anything, he's a thief. The code should be given freely or either help you to fix it himself.
It happens to me severally, the disco agent told me to fix a battery to the loader/keypad, then plug the loader to any socket in the house but you have to load a token even if it's just 1k. Once you load the token the light will come up.
Although the disco staff gave me a code for free should in case that process doesn't work, but it always work for me.

You are from Kwara and you are nosing in Lagos affairs.

Go and develop your state and leave Lagos alone. You are not original Lagos protegy. So,Stop claiming what doesn't belong to you.
Lagos is our common heritage and developed by all Nigerians from other parts of the country.

Enough of this false claims please!
