Most adults stay on one medication or another once they hit 50 anyway.

Scary ke. If you want to know when it was scary, go back to the late 1990's when drugs were not avaialble for free in this country, and when people who caught the thing were given less than a year to live.

Nowadays, we got better regimens. Including one medication that back in the 90's was on the drawing board, now it is avaialble as part of a combination for free.

Some do claim they did get it through unprotected sex, but there are those who got it when they were in their mother's womb and those who got it from contaminated blood (this one is no longer common thanks to strict blood protocols...last time I saw a person who got hiv from transfusion was in 2009

I tell people it definitely was a as a result of unprotected sex cos my first Gono experience was at age 13 and syphilis at 16
